With more and more youths joining militancy post Burhan Wani , the war in Kashmir has become literally endless .

Part of the reason is probably the high fertility rate of Kashmiri Muslims , which provides jehadis in unending numbers due to ever increasing pool of population. Also unlike earlier times when the jehadis used to be Pakistanis , this time they are mostly Kashmiris .

For those countering the jehadis ( like Indian security forces) , one can only say that times are tough ahead...

The cause being social media behind the new recruitment drive in the valley has not been focused sufficiently.

We could use scorched earth policy of Myanmar to drive the radicalized population across the border or even neutralize them but our army wants "sadbhavna" and organizes free medical camps and free all India tours and recruitment of radicalized population ,I haven't seen army doing this stuff in UK,HP or AP border states ?

That policy has pushed porkiland to the brink of bankruptcy. Only an idiot would want to follow suit.
Best is what Modi is doing now - squeeze them dry and hang them up on the rail.
For a country with a large economy as ours,we can easily fund f few hundred militias, get them weapons and bring up a cause for them.

Let's take a budget of 100 million USD for start, peanut amount for indian economy.

And let's say it take 5000 USD to equip and train a jehadi. You can have 20000 jehadis for hire for just 100 million USD.

We should do it,costs less and damages our enemies too.

For better or worse, Kashmiris have to suffer. It is totally upto them to stop the cycle of violence.
If places like Bosnia can become peaceful, i am sure kashmir will also become peaceful at some point in time.

Peace can come only after a self-realisation, self-realisation can come only for extreme suffering, extreme suffering can come only after extreme destruction. By not allowing total self-destruction, maybe GOI is postponing peace. who knows!!!!

Don't fall for pakistani propaganda. Still most of the militants are coming from pakistan. Some Kashmiris are returning to normal life from militancy.

Kashmiris are driven to protest, stone pelt or militancy by pakistani money. Every one saw what happened during demonetization and recent crank down on money launderers.

There is hope that Kashmiris will return to normal life. This is a war between India and Pakistan.

Radicalized population has to be removed but could happen only after re-election of Modi ji and the plan for sainik(veterans) and Kashmiri Pandit enclaves would give it a nice cover

What will be the long term benefit if Kashmir becomes peaceful on one good day as all these fanatics will have change of heart ?

Indira Gandhi and Zail Singh tried the same with Bhindranwale in Punjab and got a bloody nose instead. It's a good idea to set a thief to catch a thief, but this is a different ball game altogether. So we need to be careful

>Remove 370
>Israeli style state sponsored settlements
>Ghar Wapsi

This is what a bunch of determined people can do.
We are a cacophonous democracy, not communist China which would have done this decades ago.

And what would that be?

Make sure the pashtun movement reaches its logical conclusion. The pashtuns have similar grievances to the bengalis in 1971. They are quite handy with guns so training them will be a piece of cake. Next step is to send pork army a message. So far it’s just been non violent resistance. I’m not talking about an attack on their base, more like a violent outpouring that results in a 1979 Iranian type movement.
