Even as a nationwide hunt is on to nab Indian Mujahideen kingpin Ahmed Zarar Siddibappa or Yasin Bhatkal, the busting of a terror module in north Bihar has confirmed the revival of the Maulana Masood Azhar-led Jaish-e-Mohammed's (JeM) anti-India activities.

Intelligence agencies, official sources said, have informed the government that for the first time after many years JeM cadres were sighted with Hizbul Mujahedeen and Lashkar-e-Taiba cadres at the launch pads across the LoC in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). Known for spectacular terror actions, JeM has been active in the area for the past three weeks.

The terror group had been shackled by the Pakistan Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) after its cadres tried to assassinate then President Pervez Musharraf twice in December 2003.

JeM's last known attack in India was a fidayeen action on the makeshift Ayodhya temple in July 2005. It was also behind the 2001 Parliament attack.

JeM came on the Indian terror radar after a communication between the group's terror planners in Pakistan, Nepal and Indian Mujahideen cadres around India-Nepal border in Bihar was intercepted some eight months back.

Intercepts revealed that JeM has restarted its terror training at a new facility in Bahawalpur with Azhar's brother Mufti Rauf Asgar in charge.

Arrested JeM trained operative Mohammed Adil aka Ajmal's detailed disclosures along with intercepts have led to the identification of Naeem, Junaid and Waleed as planners for an anti-India attack.

It is still not clear whether these are real names of JeM's terror handlers or plain codes. Ajmal, resident of Karachi, was trained in Bahawalpur by Asgar and pushed into India by IM's Riyaz and Iqbal Bhatkal.

Ajmal, who has been interrogated by intelligence agencies, revealed that he moved to IM for action as JeM had been choked by the ISI for many years.

According to him, as JeM's trained cadre were getting frustrated for lack of action, so they decided to piggy-back on IM's network using the porous Nepal border.

To date, seven IM operatives of the Madhubani module have been picked up.

New Delhi on High Alert Over Threat of Suicide Terrorist Attack - Source

Security has been increased Sunday in the Indian capital city of New Delhi over a possibility of a suicide attack by terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), a source in Indian Home Ministry told Sputnik.

According to the source, Indian Intelligence Bureau has issued an alert and notified Delhi Police on Sunday about the possible terror attack in the capital.

It is feared that JeM terrorists may conduct in New Delhi a suicide attack, similar to those they have reportedly carried out in Samba Sector in the state of Jammu and Kashmir earlier in April.

Jaish-e-Mohammed, or the Army of Muhammad, is a terrorist group aiming to separate Kashmir region from India. The group is believed to be behind the 2001 Indian Parliament attack in New Delhi that claimed 14 lives.
