It is a well known fact hat Japanese have been stalking PLAN for quite a long time. Just visit the official website of Japan Maritime Self Defense Force, the site regularly update spying photos they took of Chinese ptrolling naval ships, many of which were taken from a very close distance.

Their helicopters even make reckless and dangerous move such as flying over Chinese naval ships to provoke Chinese naval to turn on radars so that they can gather electronic signatures of Chinese ships.

To provoke them must be a stupid move, but to retaliate them after being provoked is the right move.
Ouais, it would be right for JMSDF to sink PLAN. They should start by sinking any Chinese trawler that enters her waters.

They should if PLAN ships were in Japanese waters, except this time PLAN ships are sailing in international waters.

Stop stalking and provoking PLAN would be the right move by Japanese to avoid any more unfortunate incident in the future.

No navy has the right to target other ships unless they want a war. Japan should give it to them since they want it so bad.

It would be the right move for PLAN, otherwise they will end up on the bottom of the sea.

Guy, do you really think it is wise to provoke Japanese AEGIS ships into combat? That would be a rather embarrassing day for PLAN.
Your mask was embarrassing whole France. Chinese may be weak and leak of courage, but we have enough warhead for Japs and their master.

You may have enough warheads for Japanese assets and maybe American assets in the area but can they reach their targets? Remember that the purchase of these contested islands is akin to a preemptive attack by Japan. Strategically, China has been screwed (Japan has shrewdly beaten China in that contest). So how are you going to respond? By radar illuminations? LOL! Let your "enough warheads" seek targets if they can...

Dispute over islands which are the subject of this thread are unlikely to lead to a shooting war between Japan and China, IMHO. Anybody here think it really will?

for American, it does not matter and you guys really don't care.
two far far way asian countries beat each other.
if they do, you will sale more bullets and take back jobs from them and save the world again.
if they do not, you still have many chance to sell more F35, the key is Japs and Chinese need to dislike each other
and you guys will try your best to make sure they military power balance.
more balance more chance for military industry

Guru, great minds think alike :tea:

I always worship Amerikani Chini Bhai Bhai like YIN and YANG to save the world.

Those minors, are only objects for fleecing. The more noise Chini makes, the more deals our amigo can strike. Yin and Yang are interdependent aren't we!?

I don't think so since I know Chinnis don't have balls. Regardless, China already lost in that contest since the territory is already effectively in the hands of the Japanese government after their purchase. It will take an invasion to pry those islands away from Japanese hands which China won't and can't do.

It doesn't matter what chess you're playing, China is screwed by Japan in the disputed islands. The only thing that China can do is make noises and direct trade retaliations. The latter weapon although powerful have also the potential for a bigger long term blow-back to China.

And based on your theory where America will try to maintain a balance of power between China and Japan in the Pacific (which I agree with BTW) , the status quo now after the purchase is the balance that will be maintained. The Chinese no doubt does not like it but what can they do?:sarcastic:

Chinese chess horse can not jump if someone block they legs.
BTW, Our Chinese culture, while two player playing chess, others better keep silent and only observe.

You can make your horses jump wherever you want them to jump but those disputed islands are not going to jump anywhere. They're staying with Japan no matter your whining. And BTW, much as observers want to keep silent through this grand chess, your desperate acts and pointless stunts are so entertaining that we can't help but laugh!!! :pound::pound::pound:

Observe San, get updated of the islands' status - not intact under Japanese control as u described. Chinese patrol the 12nm zone off Diaoyu regularly. Now more like a tug-of-war.
