Here in Singapore, Chinese New year is the best time for people associated with hospitality industry to take leaves.....people don't want to deal with rude, obnoxious and unclean visitors from mainland. Chinese are the most common tourists to get fined for littering in public

I think it's because of Mao doing a number on the traditional Chinese culture. I have heard that people from hong kong and Taiwan are very cultures and dignified and they are proud of their Chinese culture.

China is ahead of India in Industrialization and economy but you don't become first world country by just having manufacturing. US and other western nations have sacrificed alot including human lives in wars that are away from their region.

China is not in the same league until you take on terrorism in AF or Syria against Taliban and ISIS. You are OTOH paying Taliban protection money. This means you will bribe your way through in such situations.

If you are not ready to fight a terrorist group, how will you take on powerful countries?

Dude you need to lighten up. If you don't like it then go to some other thread. Why are you imposing your morals on others?

Singapore name itself is derived from Singhapura - it is an Indian word look it up.

China's name itself is derived from ancient sanskrit root Sina/cina used in ancient texts...
