J&K: Infiltration bid foiled; 1 killed
Srinagar, July 19 (IBNS) At least a militant was killed as the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Gurez sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

According to reports, a group of four militants tried to enter into Gurez near Nani Post early Friday.

A gunbattle started when the Army tried to stop them.

While one militant was killed in the encounter, the others reportedly managed to escape across the LoC.

Earlier on July 9, the Army foiled an infiltration bid in Keran sector. Five militants were killed in the encounter.

They probably ran back inside POK when ambushed by IA.
The thick forest cover and sometimes the cover fire by PA enables them to escape back into POK

the IA procedure involve warning the intruder so that if they want to surrender they may but its futile here, only return fire is expected out of these terrorists
