Rudra is infact not the dedicated attack helicopter. It is a chopper which can carry soldiers and have some attack role. LCH is a dedicated chopper. It can continuously cruise at 280 KM speed at a very high altitude with full load of a loads of weapon. LCH is much better attack Chopper.
Rudra is more like a flying truck that carries missiles. It's a Dhruv with missile holders welded to the side. Not saying that it's bad but it isn't an attack chopper, as you rightly said. I think such concepts are going to play a major role in any future conflicts that are going to be swift with a lot of fire power used in a small time. Even the US is working on 'missile cargo' concepts, these will be large planes that will carry large number of missiles, as opposed to 3~4 missiles that fighter jets carry. This will blur the lines between a true attack craft and non-true attack crafts. Their P8i is based on this concept. A normal, non lethal plane loaded with lethal missiles for naval warfare.
