Hindus often brag about their secularism, but is their secularism fake? Let's see. First off, Hindus can't even treat their own people - dalits - with respect. Hindus are intolerant and one sect will not enter the temple of another sect. Constant infighting from the very beginning. Etc. etc. So if Hindus can't even treat each other with respect, how can anyone believe that they are capable of treating non-Hindus with respect? Second, if at all hindus do treat non-Hindus with respect, that's not out of the goodness of their hearts. It is for personal gain (example: secular politicians). Based on this, some people may argue that Hindus are basically narrow-minded, bigoted folks who are only pretending to 'love' and 'respect' non-Hindus for personal gain, such as money or political power etc. Wouldn't all this show that secularism in India is basically phony?
