Question should be is it a good sign for pakistan ? Iran does not care for signs anymore. I will be pleased if iran dares to do that.
why didn't Iran do anything when Jundullah was carrying out attacks for years?? http://www.prisonplanet.com/u-s-attacks-iran-via-cia-funded-jundullah-terror-group.html U.S. Attacks Iran Via CIA-Funded Jundullah Terror Group
If Iran does it, it will kill the idiotic concept of "Islamic botherhood" once and for all. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Iran always pursused Jundollah terrorists within Pak-occupied Balochistan, but they never launched preemptive strikes like what Yankee drones are doing. Now Iran wants to launch preemptive strikes against Pakistan as well. Let's hope they are serious about it.
This is possibly the fifth country where the terror originates from one country Pakistan (India,Afghanistan,Iran,China,Russia) This could also be for economic reasons with Gwadar port competing with Chabbar port???
its neither good for iran nor india what will happen if iran does this kind of action is :- the US will flood money and weapons into pakistan to fight iran a proxy war which directly the never wants to and after that everybody knows what will happen , more jehadis and more funds at the hands of pakistan means not good signs for india last time a proxy war was fought in this region and the world is still suffering dont want it again its bad for all in the region if iran wants war then let it be complete war no missions will do any good
A full-out war between Pakistan and Iran is exactly what America wants. They don't want to get their owns hands dirty again. They cannot afford to start another war after two disastrous ones, so they will use Pakistan to fight one for them (just like they are doing in Afghanistan).
China will definitely support Pakistan, because if Iran wins, it means no more Gwadar port/Arabian sea access for them. Balochis hate Gwadar port because they view it as a symbol of the foreign "colonization" of Balochistan. It will be a very interesting scenario indeed.
exactly true the US will make pakistan fight for them and when you think about it strategically its a bad option for indian , 2 days into the war pakistan will try andcblackmail the US , divert funds for the war to target india and kashmir in particular also getiing a war machinery running once such a war ends the entire machinery will be foccused on kashmir , its a bad bad thing for india
This is a good point Civ but the Chinese have more money invested in Iran than they do in Pakistan. http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2010/07/china-invest-40-billion-iranian-oil-gas/ China to invest $40 billion in Iranian oil and gas http://www.spacedaily.com/reports/China_takes_over_from_West_as_Irans_main_economic_partner_999.html China takes over from West as Iran's main economic partner
Maybe it will not be so bad. In this scenario Pakistan will have to fight a two-front war against both Iran and India. And if Iran wins, it means better Indo-Iranian relationship + balochistan issue solved.
If USA is backing Pakistan I don't think India will do anything in opening a second front?? A better time was when Russians were in Afghanistan.
Thanks for the info. I think in this scenario China will try to pressure Pakistan to stop the war, while U.S. encourages Pakistan on with more aid and weapons. Whoever wins, China will lose. Even though it will be Iran and Pakistan fighting in the battlefield, it will be U.S. and China fighting in the political arena.
India will never open a second front but Pakistan might be stupid enough to do so. Their survival plan is: Whoever attacks Pakistan, attack/blackmail India.
This could also be a good opportunity for Russia to get revenge against Pakistan for Aghanistan and prevent their own encirclement by US and keep US influence out of oil rich central Asia.
By supplying weapons to the Iranians any victory by the Pakistanis will be a loss for the Russians and the Chinese;it will give USA another avenue to Central Asia.
