As the report indicates India main revenue is non domestic and Indian IT industries are venturing into new markets. Low costs are an advantage which puts Indian IT industry in advantageous position.

India is soon loosing out the cost advantage because of the high real estate cost & inflation. Currently, Bangalore, NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai-pune region & chennai are major hubs, for things to improve IT has to move to tier-2 cities as well. Because of the cost India lost to Romania, Philippines, China & other eastern european coutries in BPO & ITES space.

Also India should get more R&D & high end work to be done locally.

One advantage is the availability of Human resources in India that will sail us through.

if india keeps give importance only to those cities only cost definitely gonna increase, there are other so many parts in india unexplored, cities and states where real estates costs are less, india needs to look to other cities that have or could have potential to be software business city.

Cost of software project & ITES project implementation is far cheaper in China than India. Only advantage India is the availability of Technical Expertise & abundant of Skilled IT human resources.

Another advantage India has over china is chinese will copy the software codes & patented software products & come up with their own products by copying. India will not do that.

China's software revenue is 5 times of India, so if there are 5 times more software engineers in China than Indian, then maybe you are right, so how many soft engineers are there in China and India?

I see many internationally popular Apss/softwares from China, like clean master, foxit, UCWeb, Dolphin browser, where is Indian's?

India is more a service provider than a product engineering destination. Off late there is lot of emphasis on R&D & product development as well.

India will definitely catch up with regarding to new products.
