Re: In South China Sea, a surprise Chinese escort for Indian ships

Judging from your post, you believe India is a threat dangerous enough to completely neutralize China's Force monopoly in the Asian Mainland? If so, how exactly?

Secondly, how will you know what the chinese military establishment knows and dont knows half a decade ago? Is the indian plan to acquire ICBM and nuclear submarines so secret half a decade ago? Do you have some secret knowledges about chinese intel on India?

Please dont try to second guess. You dont belong to that community.
Given the Chinese belligerency that has increased and spooked the neighbours, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that India can neutralise Chinese hegemonic tendencies in many ways.

Simple! China cannot dictate terms to India the way they are doing to the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan and Japan. China for example cannot point missiles at India and force India's hand. There is no immunity

Secondly, how will you know what the chinese military establishment knows and dont knows half a decade ago? Is the indian plan to acquire ICBM and nuclear submarines so secret half a decade ago? Do you have some secret knowledges about chinese intel on India?
Again simple, observation from official chinese reactions to major Indian military developments. From the list of areas I listed before for example the Chinese expected the nuke submarine(Arihant) to come much later`2020, the ICBM to fail and completely failed to see the massive buildup(100,000 troops) in a mountainous region. A straight forward deduction based on official commentary.

Guess? like the Chinese were "guessing" on the 18th of April that the first test of the ICBM would fail...Plenty of preconceived baggage that community has.

That was not a ICBM..

You need at least 5500 km for that. And where is the evidence that chinese intel predicted that it will fail?

Haw !Haw! Haw!!The experts say India’s Agni missile -5 to confuse the public for the Chinese say the Department of « Military of China, force comment.
Chinese experts seem to think it will reach upto 8000km....

The Chinese establishment scrambled to put out a lot of negative commentary immediately after the launch. "clutching at straws" arguments that poor infrastructure, bad roads would hinder the movement of the missile, China got there 30yrs ago(which is BS but nevemind), the missile is puny, a dwarf and other amateurish rubbish that was aimed at calming the chinese audience.

If they took India's launch announcements seriously they would have put in all that propaganda in the news beforehand in advance to help the domestic population rationalise with the new threat. Also there were those false claims that India got the INS systems from Russian and/or the US.

Follow....
