It was probably destroyed to maintain secrecy and safeguard the privacy of the people who took part in it. There have been instances in WW where assassin squads went after people who participated in the war. The war never ends even after it officially ends. They were chasing Bose for decades after the war ended. A spurned nation can go to any lengths.
The Names of the People who Participated in the Balakot Airstrikes were released by the Shitty Leftist Media.

Lt Gen Paramajit Singh likely to be first Deputy Chief Strategy
The new office of Army Deputy Chief (Strategy) is being created as a part of restructuring the Army headquarters by Army Chief General Bipin Rawat.

Lt Gen Paramjit Singh is currently the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Nagrota based 16 Corps.

Lieutenant General Paramjit Singh is likely to become the first Army Deputy Chief (Strategy) after he takes charge as the new Director General Military Operations (DGMO) from October 15 this year.

Soon after assuming the new post of DGMO, he is expected to be elevated as the first Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Strategy) where he would be in charge of both operations and military intelligence.

Lt Gen Paramjit Singh is currently the GOC of Nagrota based 16 Corps.

As DGMO, the officer will look after Army operations in Jammu and Kashmir and the northeastern states along the borders with both China and Pakistan.

The new office of Army Deputy Chief (Strategy) is being created as a part of restructuring the Army headquarters by Army Chief General Bipin Rawat.

The defence ministry has approved the restructuring of the Indian Army Headquarters under which over 200 officers will be sent out of Army headquarters to field formations, while new offices will be created for strategic communication.

The force is also preparing itself for creating new fighting formations known as integrated battle groups to fight new generation wars.

The greyish & black attire of the Marcos suit well for ship/dockyard action... I don't understand why people complain about their camo!

The point is mostly that in urban, built-up areas (dockyards & immediate vicinity, which in most cases is a city) where engagement ranges are usually unlikely to exceed 50 meters, what camouflage you're wearing does not really matter that much.

At these ranges the human eye can perfectly recognize a human being against the background, regardless of what he's wearing.

Might as well wear a plain Navy Blue or Black BDU (which is what most SWAT units the world over use) and you'll be fine.

Camouflage is even less of an issue on the extremely close confines of a ship.

And in any which way, the black tactical vest worn by most MARCOS on urban/maritime ops pretty much defeats the purpose of camo as it easily contrasts with the light-coloured UCP.

Camo should ideally be designed around the Areas of Operation where they might actually be useful - in our case, MARCOS generally resort to using Woodland MARPAT (same as used by US Marines) when in their J&K AO.

What is even going on anymore? Those AKs are easily over 30 years old, rotting sodden wooden hand guards with ZERO accessories.

this is India’s elite naval SOF unit? What a bloody joke! A nation with an economy of $3TN and defence budget of $42bn can’t even give a few thousand guys a modern rifle worth $2-3k? Unbelievable, I don’t know what else to say.

Clowns leading clowns at this point. They actually think they are India’s equivalent to the USN SEALs!

Sometimes I’d prefer MOD just disbanded all three military SOFs, they seem to be in a decline and are just getting more and more unimpressive and unprofessional. It’s beyond embarrassing that they are considered the most elite forces India has.

Fking Rambo mentality, living in the 1800s, utterly out of touch with reality and how every other modern unit in the world behaves.

honestly doubt IQ levels of some of these uniformed personnel exceeds 85 in many cases

Breh
That's going too far. Combat divers have to learn diving chart and dive physics, admittedly not rocket science but still hard and nigh impossible for below 85 IQ personnel. Not to mention the departmental exams which they won't even pass. HALO requires a certain level of intelligence to learn too.
I'm sorry if you were joking and I'm being a buzzkill but... you wrote "Honestly". :p

Questions:
  1. If that boat had any real pirates, wouldn't every single one of them be dead before they could lay feet on the deck?.. How is this sort of heliborne insertion effective in this case?
  2. Do they put "enemy" on do ships with paintball guns as well?...
  3. Otherwise how to know whether what they're doing will actually work or not?

Nah,valid tactic. Insertion this way is common. Also, the operators on the heli do provide cover for the guy slithering below. If the heli has a gunner, all the more better. If there's a ship nearby with a sniper or marksman or auto rifleman, still valid. Combine all together and room intervention is just a formality to collect the dead bodies.
