Pakistan on Friday lodged a protest with the Indian government over an incident in which an Indian warship allegedly brushed with a Pakistani frigate escorting MV Suez, an Egyptian owned ship that was recently freed by Somali pirates after the payment of ransom. The protest was lodged through the I

ndian High Commission in Islamabad over the "serious incident" that occurred on Thursday, said a statement issued by foreign office spokesperson Tehmina Janjua.
The Indian Navy warship Godavari "not only hampered humanitarian operations being carried out by Pakistan Navy Ship Babur for Merchant Vessel Suez but also undertook dangerous manoeuvres, which resulted in the brushing of the sides" of the two warships, the statement alleged.

"This incident constitutes a serious violation of international regulations pertaining to safe conduct at high seas and of the India-Pakistan Agreement of 1991 on Advance Notice of Military Exercise Manoeuvres and Troop Movements," the statement claimed.

"The Indian government has been asked to ensure non-recurrence of such incidents," the statement said.

^^ Pakistanis are really shameless. They refuse to accept their dead and PoWs from the Kargil War, they refuse Indian aid during floods and then blame India for he floods and now this. The Basmati case is another example.

Pakistanis are doing politics over a humanitarian crisis. First they went over jubilant about a NGO's help and used that opportunity to throw filth on India irrespective of most of the the Indians were thanking that Pakistani NGO.

The politics wasn't over yet when scoring cheap points spree started again because INS Godavari let the ship sail on its own because the Pakistani captain who might have been the dalal /middle man between PN and all the negosiation with pirates became functionally deaf about INS Godavari's repeated request to extend help or seeking critical information about the situation.

Now PN is complaining because their sluggish rust bucket was brushed by multi million dollar Indian navy war ship with guided missiles on board? Give a break.

Now after this whole drama i have started thinking what made Pakistani NGO and PN click the deal with pirates and now why they have became insecure about presence of Indian Navy who has been serving these high seas against pirates with coalition forces for many years, restlessly

The Pakistanis actually classify these rusting frigates as "destroyers", even though their displacement is similar to the Indian Navy's Kamorta-class corvettes :pound:

PN is the joke of South Asia.

Why would IN take the risk of brushing another boat and risk damaging itself?

when godavari came babur was very frightened to see godavari closing from back of them and they suddenly started to flee in the other side. This might have caused a collision. That may be the truth.....he he
