Typical conditioning that Indians have come to accept as normal just because of vote bank politics.
What makes those making these 'spectacular' announcement that a Muslim automatically is taken to be a duffer, and if he takes up a high office, it is the vindication of how great and secular we are and how we have brought education to the 'illiterate' Muslim masses!!
Some of the most educated and competent of people have been Muslims. Dr Kalam, MC Chagla and the great Maulana Azad, apart from Humayun Kabir comes to mind.
India must get rid of this caste, community and religion differentiation and accept people for what they are worth.
The more we 'showcase' this type of differentiation, we will only get deeper in the divide!

i failed to why one`s caste/religion is more highlighted if he comes from backward position then his merit. Same thing happen when K. G. Balakrishnan was appointed as chief justice of india . instead of highlighting his merit , he was first dalit to be appointed as chief justice india was highlighted. And no one form government came forward to stop this no-sense in media
