The Pecheneg is the new version of the Pulemyot Kalashnikov (PK) LMG.Pecheneg LMG
man is it having disentegratable bullet belt coz PKMs were having ammo belts which were not disentegrable unlike other belt fed MGs?The Pecheneg is the new version of the Pulemyot Kalashnikov (PK) LMG.
One funny thing about this machine gun is that the spent cartridge ejection system is on the left, as against the more conventional on the right.
Anyone has any ideas why it is so?
From the picture, no. The bullet belt is not disintegrable. See the long empty belt hanging on the left side of the receiver. This is a bad design decision, IMHO.man is it having disentegratable bullet belt coz PKMs were having ammo belts which were not disentegrable unlike other belt fed MGs?
the performance of carl gustav in anti-tank role is questionable.it can be used in bunker-busting and against soft armour vehicles but certainly not tanks.but rpg-29 has penetrated challenger, abhrams, merkava tanks and is an ideal replacement for rpg-7 in our inventory.javelin is a man-portable missile and cannot be compared to carl gustav or rpg,at-4cs all of which are rocket propelled and much much cheaper.Nothing is old, AT-4 or RPG-29 cannot do the task Carl Gustaf can do, I.e:
1. It can fire smoke
2. It can fire Illumination rounds
3. It can fire Heat Rounds for Anti-tank
4. It can fire HE frag in CT operations
Where Any-other Man Portable RL cannot preform such task with gr8 accuracy as Carl Gustaf 84MM..
Btw, We use Shippon Light Rocket Launcher in SF same as AT-4 and instead of RPG-29 we will be using Javellin ATGM...
Dushka is no longer manufactured in Russia, RFI is issued..
Contenders are from Singapore, US, Russia and others..
That won't be a big problem coz romanians or polish forces are using disentratable belts in PKMs and.helicopters of russian forces too had made use of disentagratable ammo belts.the same could be utilised here also if necessary. From the picture, no. shiv i dont know nothing about rpg29s performance against mercava or challenger but i can assure that it is not at all effective against abrams coz in iraq 7 rpg 29 round were hit in an abrams and all the crew were escaped without any injury.so from thing we can assume that it is not an effective modern tank destroyer.Yes it will be a huge hit if supplied RPG 7S among RR and paramilitary coz they are lighter than CGRLs.the performance of carl gustav in anti-tank role is questionable.it can be used in bunker-busting and against soft armour vehicles but certainly not tanks.but rpg-29 has penetrated challenger, abhrams, merkava tanks and is an ideal replacement for rpg-7 in our inventory.javelin is a man-portable missile and cannot be compared to carl gustav or rpg,at-4cs all of which are rocket propelled and much much cheaper.
How ?, As far we know it done the job well, It depends where you hit..the performance of carl gustav in anti-tank role is questionable..
This 84 mm Heat warhead won't be able to penetrate the armour of a second generation tank, let alone a modern MBT. Carl Gustav is good for bunkers and sangars but it is a big no against any modern MBT.How ?, As far we know it done the job well, It depends where you hit..
Bleeding elbow, anyone? That won't be a big problem coz romanians or polish forces are using disentratable belts in PKMs and.helicopters of russian forces too had made use of disentagratable ammo belts.the same could be utilised here also if necessary.
Turret ring, Tracks, Gun mantle, Engine compartment, many other are the one men are trained to shoot ONLY..This 84 mm Heat warhead won't be able to penetrate the armour of a second generation tank, let alone a modern MBT. NLAW or RPG-29/32 are better options.
84 mm HEAT 651 is a newer HEAT round using mid-flight rocket assistance for ranges up to 1,000m, it includes a stand-off probe for the fuse to improve performance against reactive armour.
Is it possible to hit the turret ring?Turret ring, Tracks, Gun mantle, Engine compartment, many other..
Yes, Turret ring is one of the most vulnerable place of a tank..Is it possible to hit the turret ring?
