Even though modern equipments are trickling down to our forward troops yet they appear like a Rag-Tag militia. Also, many soldiers were wearing ACH over woolen balaclava which not only looks weird but it defeats the purpose of protection by exposing there foreheads. Forget about weapon standardization they should first standardize Uniforms of soldiers at serving at front-lines.
Globally, many militaries are image conscious and focus pretty much on appearance of their soldiers like for e.g. China to project their power. Alas, such thinking is missing in our military brass. .

Patka is effective otherwise like army threw away Insas for anti-terrorists ops, they would had stopped using patka if it was not effective.

And I just don’t get how the IA can be so
Unable to deliver enough uniforms to their soldiers and are unable enforce us any uniform standards in the field.

This militia look is ridiculous, one soldier is wearing black trousers, the next is wearing current DPM, next to him a woodland MARPAT pattern. It’s mind boggling.

$20Bn USD a year swallowed up by the army and they can’t even issue multiple uniforms to
