Rashtriya Rifles Should also take over the LOC Combat and Counter-infiltration fighting as well from the Regular Army Units

BSF should be enough for any border skirmishes.
BSF is big it has 250,000 active personnel which is enough to dominate the LOC if provided the right equipment and training.
I think SF should be raised inside BSF itself for operation that requires more punch.

BSF does have a commando force.

There is only one specialised division in BSF and thats creek crocodile, I don't think that they are even that special.

In continuation of its crusade against smuggling in the border villages of the Ukhrul district, Somsai Battalion of #AssamRifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) intercepted three trucks carrying smuggled betel nuts worth Rs 18 Lakhs(approx) at the Vehicle Check Post on Ukhrul-Tadubi road. The suspected individuals and recovered contraband load have been handed over to the customs department for further investigations.

Both AR and RR have seen massive improvement in troops equipment and armament in recent 2-3 years.

The issue seems to be availability of camo.

The first pic has grey-white mix camo which is perfect for Winter season in Kashmir. The second camo is good for Summer season, the green blende in with the alpine background of Kashmir.

Black & Digi patterns used by QAT/QRT commandos, while regulars are in standard leaf camo pattern. But yeah a little more attention on standardization and we are good to go.
