The Indian Army and Air Force are holdong an interactive conference on jointness. Air Marshal DC Kumaria, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief,Western Air Command is visiting Army’s Western Command at Chandimandir for two days to co-chair the Air Force – Army Interactive Conference.
The Indian Army Western Command is headed by Lieutenant General SR Ghosh and is one of the three affiliated Army Commands of Western Air Command. The Northern and South Western Commands are the other affiliates.
MoD release mentions that “the two commanders discussed issues of joint planning, conduct of concurrent operations and exercises as per the Joint Operational Doctrine, towards creating the requisite synergy between the two services.” The visit of Air Marshal Kumaria to Headquarter Western Command is one of his first visits after he took over as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Western Air Command, says the Mod release.
