NEW DELHI: Home minister P Chidambaram on Friday said there was no reason to envy China and New Delhi should rather try to "emulate" Beijing in carrying out development works. "We should not fear competition from China. There is no reason to envy China. If at all, we should try to emulate China," he said.

Ah yes, India should emulate CCP who is awash in 63.8 trillion RMB of debt. It is exactly this addiction to construction that has gotten it into this debt trap. India doesn't have the closed financial system to cover and roll over such large debts so to even suggest India run a Ponzi scheme is shear folly.

Problem with Indian politicians is that they can give their expert^ opinion without any qualification. He is a Minister for Home affairs who has nothing to do with what he is talking but still giving a generic advise to some unknown Indians for unknown concerns and with a bad example of China.

Also its a good old tactic to tell/blaming Indians that they are lagging behind, to hide own failures. This man is also not in his senses after being comprehensibly exposed by media for his misuse of powers and scams he has done in last 10 years.
