While China has indeed a better inventory and is not dependent on exports, launching an all out attack by China is not that simple as it seems.

Terrain and weather is a major consideration, as also the fact that its aircraft from the high altitude plateau in Tibet, will not be able to carry optimum ordnance. It will have to depend on missiles and aircraft from hinterland China.

That would make the time of flight longer, detectable and give a greater flexibility to India to intercept and destroy.

Notwithstanding, there is no doubt that indigenisation is the need of the hour for India. State of art technology has to be obtained from western countries or by methodical and sincere attempt at reverse engineering.
