I agree with everything you have said except bolded part.

After parliament attack bjp went running to usa to issue statements so as to avert war. If this is not being soft then what is ?
'N-missiles put along LoC after House attack'

Washington: India had deployed nuclear-capable missiles on its western border and refused to budge under United States pressure to hold any talks with Pakistan after the 2001 attack on its Parliament, says former top American diplomat Condoleezza Rice.

And what added to the tension in the White House's Situation Room in December 2001 were the sharp differences between the Pentagon and CIA about the ground realities in South Asia, she writes in her memoir 'No Higher Honor' which is set to hit the stands next week.

"While CIA was informing the White House that India was on its way to war, the Pentagon was concluding that it was not the case," Rice, who then was National Security Adviser to President George W Bush, said.

"We reasoned that the two wouldn't go to war with high-ranking foreigners in the region," Rice writes.

But the situation continued to deteriorate, she said, adding that by December 23 there were reports of troop movements as well as that India was preparing to move short-range ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads to the India-Pakistan border.

This post by Sandeep bhai gives a good answer to what you said about INDIA running to USA and the soft stand of INDIA. INDIA did not soften its stand, it was the other way round. USA adviced INDIA not to go for a war against pakistan.

Please correct me , if I am wrong .

I think , Saudi and UAE wants US to support Pakistan against India .
This is true to a point Turkey also. USA has to keep Pakistan happy so they can be used against Iran in the future.

There are many questions from this??

How does USA know missiles placed on the border were nuclear?? were there geiger counters somewhere???
What specific missiles were placed on the LOC??? prithvis?? Brahmos??? etc...
Is this a warning or encouragement for Pakistan to have their nukes ready for deployment??
why would missiles be placed on LOC??

A lot of things have changed from the last ten years, now the world knows that Pakistan is the father of modern terrorism and is a failed state. So if such attack occurs again then we wont have to suffer blames of aggression, which we could have faced in 2001.

If at all it would have been Phritvis. We don't need any other missiles to be close to the border.

I don't think India would have mated the nukes. Americans would have picked up missioes from spy sats.

That was perhaps in Cold war, but doubt that they'd be interested now considering that they're capitalists and are interested in relationship with those who can offer them business and money.

What will the pakistanis do with their toys during the war? They don't have the spares for their fighter jets. They cannot and will not move their army from their eastern border as they trying to occupy Kashmir. If they do so then INDIA will grasp this chance to get get the PoK under our control. What is the use of pakistan when they cannot be used in a useful manner.
