Blowing the crap out of them is another (and probably the best possible) option.

However any energy pipeline through Pakistan is the biggest liability. It could put India's energy need at the behest of Pakistan, and not to forhet the jihadi's and the terrorist who could put it to any possible use, lest we forget 26/11)
blowing the crap can blow india too.

your fence couldn't able to stop kasab and his gang to paralyze mumbai for 3 days and kill 170 odd people. your electrified fence and modern technology couldnt stop series of bomb blasts in various indian cites over last decade.
We improve all the time, don't we?

Measures at the LoC prevented your Jihadi lovers from coming in, and the numbers reduced to a trickle. Measures at the IB reduced smuggling to a trickle compared to the 1990s and before. it is no longer easy to infiltrate Kashmir like it was in the 1990s, or Punjab in the 1980s.

Wait till we have coastline surveillance mechanism set up. Your beloved Kasab and other wannabe kasabs will find the going tough.

We don't need to make peace with a rogue nation. You are the ones who need to "make peace", and you can start by completely cracking down on all Islamic terror outfits and training camps. Do that, then we will think of whether we can talk peace.

Heh - but seeing Pakistaniyat in action is a good study in perverted human psychology. Look at the logic: "we have been blasting bombs and creating mayhem in your cities. So, see what we can do? Now, if you want to live in peace, give us X, Y, Z...".

The entire Paki logic is like that. They think they can take "hafta" from every nation, from India to UK to USA to Afghanistan. They take pride in being a pain in the ass, and then asking for money, cricket, opportunities, locomotives, etc. to stop being a pain in the ass.

One of the most remarkable features of insects, especially cockroaches and ants, is to find some way or the other, to invade a kitchen.

The history of the lands which constitute Pakistan shows that the Muslim Punjabis of the region have a track record of submission and capitulation to foreigners; and clearly, Pakistan today is playing that role well.

So, trust me when I say that your self-perception is not shared with anyone else; especially anyone from Indian Punjab! We know the realities of what Pakistanis are capable of, and we're not impressed.
Why go the perception of Indian Punjabis ?

What about the perception of the "attacking hordes" [Pashtuns] about the Punjabis in Pakistan ? That should say something.

Relevance of pakistan in indian calculations was there in past and is there in present and will remain so in future too.Solving Indo-pak is as much crucial to indian interests as it is to pak.coz india cant afford to have 2 antagonistic nuke powers at its borders who are alied against india.
You keep thinking that, but it ain't the reality.

Pakistan is actually lucky to have Manmohan Singh as India's PM, who actually works hard to try and make peace with Pakistan. I can only imagine how further Pakistan will fall into insignificance as younger chaps take power in Delhi.

To get a drift, even Rahul Gandhi said something along the lines of, discussing Pakistan is not even worth 5 minutes of my time.

If pakistan was unable to solve disputes with india by force in past it doesnt mean pakistan cant do so now or in future(as it it is nuke power now)
Oh please, I am well aware of Pakistani military's posture. In Punjab and Rajasthan-Sindh border, Pakistan army is hiding behind a series of defensive canals, and is scared to move even inches into the open plains of Indian Punjab and Rajasthan. The best the Pakistani army could come up with was Kargil, and even that was done by sneaking in, and than hoping that the Indian army wouldn't pursue the conflict for as long as it did.

It was always the case whenever punjab and sind fell to the marauding hordes it didnt take much time for whole of india to fall.In a sense punjab and sindh always acted as buffer to protect india over centuries.
Indeed.

So before maharaja ranjit singh's rise to power under total chaos all over india punjabis be it sikh hindu were always surrendered and converted to deen of the powerful muslim victorrs.so in a sense hindus and sikh of punjabi heritage are equally cowards as muslims were.
Not really, my friend.

Maharaja Ranjit Singh came centuries after Guru Gobind Singh's armies had already been crushing the Mughals. :)

And so were hindus of north india and gangetic plains who were as cowards as punjabis when they submitted to first various muslim hordes and then british.
My friend, those converted cowards are now called Pakistanis. :)

As for the British, I believe it were the Muslim rulers who were the first to capitulate and fall to the British. The Punjabi Sikh kingdom was actually the last kingdom in India to fall.

True.

Pakistani Punjabis are looked down upon by every single people that border them!
