If Taliban attack India, we'll fight them: Maoist

When it comes to the threat posed by the Taliban, India's extreme Left wants to be seen on the right side.

The Maoists now seem to be saying that India's enemy is not necessarily their friend, and want to get rid of the 'terror' tag attached to them. "If the Taliban attack India, we will stand with the people and rally against the attack," CPI (Maoist) politburo member and their combat forces' second-in-command Koteswar Rao alias Kishenji (51) told HT.

He was reacting to the Pakistan Taliban's threat to attack India once their objective of turning their own country into a hardline Islamist state was achieved.

Kishenji, however, has claimed that the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) or CPI (Maoist) has strong ties with ultra-Left wing and alleged terrorist outfits, including Kashmiri separatists, from at least 36 countries. The beheading of Jharkhand special branch inspector Francis Induwar earlier this month has been seen as a Taliban-style execution.

Under pressure from various quarters for waging war against the state and killing innocent people "at least 445 people were killed in Naxal violence in the first six months of this year alone" underground Maoist leaders are now trying to dissociate themselves from being associated with terror.

Ganapathi, the Maoists self-styled supreme commander, had in a recent interview to Open magazine, objected to the terror tag attached to his outfit. Maoist politburo member Kobad Ghandy, arrested in Delhi last month, and central committee member Ravi Sharma, arrested by the Jharkhand police last week, had also labelled the comrades fighting a 'people's war' patriots.

"How can they be patriots when they are there to destroy the Constitution?" said Pankaj Khamboj, a young Jharkhand cadre IPS officer, who arrested Naxal leaders Ravi Sharma and his wife Anuradha last week from Hazaribagh district.

Two completely antithetical ideologies. Methods the same. Declarations the same.
The State of India should waste no time in crushing the Red Taliban.

These Maosits first have to survive to take on the Taliban.

This seems to be a change in tact by the Maosits in face of the action being undertaken by the Paramilitary forces.

:coffee_spray:Thank you very much Maoist we are really humble with your proposal!!!!!!!!!!

Even Taliban was saying few days before that we will fight India; if attacks Pakistan.
Taliban were able to get appreciation at that time from many Pakistanis.
But sorry mister Maoist, in India no one likes you. A good Maoist is dead Maoist. R.I.P.:gunfight2:

BTW why and how these parasites are getting exposure in media? can someone explain here?

Can't afford

Yesterday i heared about "Sanatan Fidayeen" and now "Maoists".India must stop them and can't nourish such negative forces, it will be difficult to control them, there is a very little difference between a Maoist & Talibani.

Firstly, why will taliban attack India? India will be attacked by the dogs that are breeded by PA and funded by Unkil.
Secondly, even if Taliban attack India, they will not be any different from the current ones that attack India, they will be tackled just as their colleagues have been tackled by IA.
Thirdly, Why such declarations now? Seems like they are under intense pressure. Atleast, this tells us that maoists are scared for hell. Good!

H&R,

the majority of english main stream media in india is leftist by nature so they are bound to give space to their violent brothers, after all the heat on the maoists has been turned on for the first time in india since chidambram took over, something very difficult for their sympathizers in media to digest who till now propagated that this is a social issue and can be sorted out only by way of undoing the injustice of the past by way of land reforms, police reforms, development, proper compensations where ever need be, proper health care, education but not by gun.

maoists are being pushed to the corner, come november and the paramilitary forces will be heading their way with full force to the extent even rr with all their heavy equipment is being planned to be deployed from kashmir and army will be and is being used to impart training and iaf will be used to air drop troops where ever need be, so one can only imagine what the things are going to be like in coming months. government for the first time has a clear cut policy, to begin with they intend to flush out maoists with force and the moment they are flushed out start development work at once so that the tribals feel the change and no vacuum is left to be exploited again.

what you see is clash of interests and thought process, maoists always had people sympathetic to their cause in the so called circles of intellects especially in the east of the country who today form a decent group of our media so the reports in media are bound to come and to an extent rightly so but there is no way these chaps get to talk with a bullet and the state does not. if the government really remains committed to what they have followed off late, this menace will be all over in few years from now.

Waoo they are doing what taliban is doing in Pakistan. They told they will fight India for Pakistan. I think maoist are taking clue from Taliban. We need to crush them before they become as big as Taliban.

Chidambaram is a very good minister, I am a big fan of him. He works very hard and talks sense. He is the man behind this clear cut policy. I can now say I do not hate all politicians.

This maybe a good idea to two get rid of two scumbags, India and Pakistan can work together on this Pakistan sends their taliban and we send our Maoists to fight each other, let them kill each other ;2 problems gone and it would built trust between both nations.

To which Bharath Verma will interject: "No, you're pissed off the Chinese proxy war machine, and cleaned up our soil. Enjoy the fireworks."
