    IAF recruitment rally in Thanjavur

    The Indian Air Force has proposed to hold a recruitment rally at its station in Thajavur on October 18 for unmarried men from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, born between January 1, 1991 and March 31, 1995.
    The recruitment for Group ‘Y' – non-technical trades, requires an education qualification of std. ten, plus two/intermediate with science, arts or commerce with a minimum 50 per cent aggregate and a pass in all subjects or three years of diploma in any stream of engineering with at least 50 per cent marks from a government recognized polytechnic institute.
    Eligible applicants are expected to report between 6 a.m and 10 a.m along with original certificates of education qualifications including mark sheets and NCC certificates(if any). Photo copies of all original certificates; two white envelopes of size 26cm x 12 cm; seven copies of recent passport size colour photos; domicile certificate along with a photo copy (required in the case of candidates with qualifying exams not under TamilNadu Board); shorts and canvas shoes; and stationary (HB Pencil, eraser, sharpener, and a blue or black ball point pen) should be carried brought by the candidates.
    According to an Indian Air Force release, application and consent forms will be provided free of cost to successful candidates , after declaration of results for written and physical fitness tests.

    Further, the Indian Air Force has also warned applicants of spurious offers from middle men. Selection in IAF shall be ‘free and fair' and based solely on merit. At no stage would there be a requirement for monetary payments to anyone for selection or recruitment in the IAF.
