That's laughable they are not going to accept a western f-16 loss to a 70s MIG 21,
And neither is the track record of western media houses or journalists clean or unbiased for them to be considered gospel of truth.

Our own people who are over a billion accepted it ,hence no worries,

Our officialy govt/iaf stand is we shot down a f-16 ,
One only needs to check the track record of Indian armed forces statements and paki army statements and decide for themselves.
Indian armed forces have a clean record, we have never hidden our casaulities neither have we made fake tall claims.

Pork army is on opposite end of spectrum.

Of course our own population has accepted the truth, and will believe our armed forces. And pakis are hopeless, they'll believe everything from gayfoor. If we can summarize the info war of this whole episode, India won the info war on the Balakot strike, and pakistan won the info war of the feb 27 air skirmish. Western journalists generally accept the fact that India struck Balakot, but don't accept that we shot down an f 16 the following day.

Our Crying baby, foreign maal demanding IAF won nothing ( regretfully ). They were crying before Balakot and even crying today ( Dhanua was cry today " Even people don't use a car that old, MIG ).
For Balakot, we can consider it victory because it serve the cause ( deterrence ) and sent stark message to Pak that there will be serious consequences for any misadventure. Indeed, this is our failure we haven't provided any credible evidence of damage cause by bombing ( only one Italian journalist ) and neither gave any clear proof of F-16 downing ( intelligence failure )

Paki ******s lost an F 16 for a MiG 21 being downed. A plane we will be retiring starting this year. We bombed them while they could do nothing.

No. This is not the case. A lot of us understand which you don't.

West has always been against us but it did not changed the truth. In 65,71 western newspaper were running paki propaganda. Famous Gen. chuck yeager even claimed that pakistan will take over delhi in a week in 71 war.

IAF went to obliterate that place but while spice 2000 worked, Crystal Maze couldn't be fired because of cloudy condition as this weapon require visual lock.

They shut down their frigging airspace for months fearing an Indian reprisal.

Even the follow up CAPs by IAF jets largely went unanswered from the other side.

Their aim that day was to surprise and spook IAF and get away with a couple of kills. A kill they got, but also a rude surprise in the form of losing their prize jewel, a two seater plane, the one that actually landed the LGB on the tree in front of the brigade HQ.

So Abhi sacrificed himself to avenge the Brigade HQ attack and the ensure that his wingman Alpha-2 was able to get away to safety.

Been told by insiders that most of the 1st batch of pilots selected for Rafale transition are from MiG-27 background. So focus of the role envisioned for the Rafale in IAF is expected to be very much Strike oriented rather than Air Superiority
