That was incredibly rude and below the belt. 1-child policy, remember ?

Chinese don't have any concept of social structure, family, community. They don't have uncle, aunts, cousins, brothers, sisters etc
Its only parents+child, and maybe grandparents if they live in the same city.
I was under the impression that one child policy is only in the cities. Besides, that is how we wish all newlyweds in India. Anyways, we should always wish a large and happy family to all, and in this particular case, just to clarify, it was not meant to be a jibe but a traditional wish. I also hope one day this policy will be more relaxed.

Congrats Badguy! Maybe you should ask the admins to change your username to something 'good' now, since you can't remain a bad guy for long. :D

So, this would be appropriate?

Most Chinese people that I know have one sibling.

It seems that two children are popular in both India and China.

That would be appropriate if BG has lots of cash stuffed away.

As soon as a couple has a child, their life is over. The parents and even maternal and paternal grandparents devote their entire time to raise the child, because that child is their only ticket for the future.
And there is a tremendous pressure to have a male offspring too.

I got married last week....and will spend my honey moon in Tailand the next week......
I heard this on the radio the other day:

"If a man says something and his wife isn't there to hear him, is he still wrong?"
