Fall of USA, is in our interest only on time of our choosing. We do want their spot as the numero uno of the world, but are we ready now. I rather have USA and China battle it out, and we get stronger in the meantime.
True, that.

In the near future, the status quo must be maintained. The fall of USA can come decades later.

Fall of USA? Please. The street theater in New York City will end before the first snow flies.

Ann Coulter nails it

This Is What a Mob Looks Like - HUMAN EVENTS

I am not the first to note the vast differences between the Wall Street protesters and the tea partiers. To name three: The tea partiers have jobs, showers and a point.

No one knows what the Wall Street protesters want -- as is typical of mobs. They say they want Obama re-elected, but claim to hate "Wall Street." You know, the same Wall Street that gave its largest campaign donation in history to Obama, who, in turn, bailed out the banks and made Goldman Sachs the fourth branch of government.

This would be like opposing fattening, processed foods, but cheering Michael Moore -- which the protesters also did this week.

But to me, the most striking difference between the tea partiers and the "Occupy Wall Street" crowd -- besides the smell of patchouli -- is how liberal protesters must claim their every gathering is historic and heroic.

They chant: "The world is watching!" "This is how democracy looks!" "We are the ones we've been waiting for!"

At the risk of acknowledging that I am, in fact, "watching," this is most definitely not how democracy looks.

Sally Kohn, a self-identified "community organizer," praised the Wall Street loiterers on CNN's website, comparing the protest to the Boston Tea Party, which she claimed, "helped spark the American Revolution," adding, "and yes, that protest ultimately turned very violent."

First of all, the Boston Tea Party was nothing like tattooed, body–pierced, sunken-chested 19-year-olds getting in fights with the police for fun. Paul Revere's nighttime raid was intended exclusively to protest a new British tea tax. (The Wall Street protesters would be more likely to fight for a new tax than against one.)

Revere made sure to replace a broken lock on one of the ships and severely punished a participant who stole some of the tea for his private use. Samuel Adams defended the raid by saying that all other methods of recourse -- say, voting -- were unavailable.

Our revolution -- the only revolution that led to greater freedom since at least 1688 -- was not the act of a mob.

As specific and limited as it was, however, even the Boston Tea Party was too mob-like to spark anything other than retaliatory British measures. Indeed, it set back the cause of American independence by dispiriting both American and British supporters, such as Edmund Burke"‹.

George Washington disapproved of the destruction of the tea. Benjamin Franklin demanded that the India Tea Co. be reimbursed for it. Considered an embarrassment by many of our founding fathers, the Boston Tea Party was not celebrated for another 50 years.

It would be three long years after the Boston Tea Party when our founding fathers engaged in their truly revolutionary act: The signing of the Declaration of Independence.

In that document, our Christian forebears set forth in blindingly clear terms their complaints with British rule, their earlier attempts at resolution, and an appeal to the Supreme Judge of the world for independence from the crown.

The rebel armies defending that declaration were not a disorganized mob, chanting slogans for the press and defacing public property.

Even the Minutemen, whose first scuffle with the British began the war, were a real army with ranks, subordination, coordination, drills and supplies. There is not a single mention in the historical record of Minutemen playing hacky-sack, burning candles assembled in "peace and love," or sitting in drum circles.

A British lieutenant-general who fought the Minutemen observed, "Whoever looks upon them as an irregular mob will find himself very much mistaken."

By contrast, the directionless losers protesting "Wall Street" -- Obama's largest donor group -- pose for the cameras while uttering random liberal cliches lacking any reason or coherence.

But since everything liberals do must be heroic, the "Occupy Wall Street" crowd insists on comparing themselves to this nation's heroes.

One told Fox News' Bill Schulz: "I was born to be here, right now, the founding fathers have been passing down the torch to this generation to make our country great again."

The Canadian environmental group behind Occupy Wall Street, Adbusters, has compared the Wall Street "revolutionaries" to America's founding fathers. (Incidentally, those who opposed the American Revolution fled after the war to ... Canada.)

The -- again -- Canadians exulted, "You sense they're drafting a new Declaration of Independence."

I suppose you only "sense" it because they're doing nothing of the sort. They say they want Mao as the president -- as one told Schulz -- and the abolition of "capitalism."

The modern tea partiers never went around narcissistically comparing themselves to Gen. George Washington. And yet they are the ones who have engaged in the kind of political activity Washington fought for.

The Tea Party name is meant in fun, inspired by an amusing rant from CNBC's Rick Santelli in February 2009, when he called for another Tea Party in response to Obama's plan to bail-out irresponsible mortgagers.

The tea partiers didn't arrogantly claim to be drafting a new Declaration of Independence. They're perfectly happy with the original.

Tea partiers didn't block traffic, sleep on sidewalks, wear ski masks, fight with the police or urinate in public. They read the Constitution, made serious policy arguments, and petitioned the government against Obama's unconstitutional big government policies, especially the stimulus bill and Obamacare.

Then they picked up their own trash and quietly went home. Apparently, a lot of them had to be at work in the morning.

In the two years following the movement's inception, the Tea Party played a major role in turning Teddy Kennedy's seat over to a Republican, making the sainted Chris Christie governor of New Jersey, and winning a gargantuan, historic Republican landslide in the 2010 elections. They are probably going to succeed in throwing out a president in next year's election.

That's what democracy looks like.

I think some people don't understand that even if US will not be number one in economy or as world wide sole superpower, US will not disappear, peoples tend to think that federal state will just broke in to smaller countries, but my firend was in US and he said that it is highly unlikely. Americans are true patriots, they love their country even much more than citizens of many european countries, and I think this is the difference between many EU countries and US, Americans have a fighter spirit, they will not give up, so why the hell they should just destroy their country? There is just no logic behind, these days countries just don't disappear like that, of course if they are not shitholes like Somalia or Afghanistan.

Yup woman being sprayed in the face and getting dragged half the street. The image that usa spreads is that everyone has the rights to free speech, protest etc but that clearly isn't the case. From what i see the rights of individual americans has gone down in the past 2 decades.
Go riot in Paris and you will see how that is handled by the police. :)

The right of free speach is not there so every idiot can tell whatever he want and do wahtever he want, bu to use wise words and to be wise in life. In other words, You need to be aware that You have a free choice to what You do or say and whatever choice You will take, there allways be consequence of this choice, this is freedom, something that 70-80% of human population don't understand.

why then make derogatory cartoons of hindu gods, muhammad, jesus etc and pass it off as freedom of speech knowing full well that its probably not wise.

Even the romans were true patriots. The real test is to be a patriot when your country is in the dumps rather than flying high.

Of course they will not disappear but there relevance will diminish.

Because people are mostly idiots these days that don't understand what is true freedom. I said it, freedom is right to choice what You do and awareness of consequences of each choice we take in life.

Simple example, I talk with a man, he insult my family, I have a choice, hit him in a face, but then he can hit me in a face, and he can be stronger, or I can ignore him, but in the eyes of other people I be dishonored coward.

This is freedom, but freedom is not understanded these days, these days most people thinks that freedom is when some man shows ass in public place or he will say something offensive about religious symbols etc. This is not freedom, this is pure stupidity that provokes other stupidity like religious fanatics killing people.

But hey, we can thank about all this to these leftiests and their "progressive" ideas about how people should live and think. ;)

Even the romans were true patriots. The real test is to be a patriot when your country is in the dumps rather than flying high.
Yes, but You need to know how many these true Romans that were born in Rome and it's closest neighborehood were and how many of citizens of Roman empire were not Romans but people conquered by Romans.

Roman empire have one big problem, it was not unified as unified are United States, of course US are made by imigrants, but currently majority of US citizens think about theirselfes as United States citizens, as Americans, not as British, French, Polish, Russian etc. citizens, while in Roman empire the true Roman was only a guy that was borne in Rome.

BTW, and here is another logic fail, USA is not empire, it is something much different than empire, empire gain teritory by wars, while US do thing in much smarter way, it leaves teritory to their owners but instead of let call him imperial governor, thei just build friendly reliationship with new goverment of spoken teritory.

Of course they will not disappear but there relevance will diminish.
I know that many people want such situation, but this is shortsighting.

US with all it's flaws is better than any other superpower, why? It is very simple, Americans really belive that they can help other countries, I not talk here about goverment but about Americans as a nation, they really belive so, besides this principles that are base for the whole country, this is something unique, something that should be inspiration for every men beliving in true freedom. Unfortunetly the US have the same problem these days as many other countries, lack of competent and charismatic leader that understand what freedom means. Mr. Obama is not such person, he want only more and more goverment control over country and economy and we all see to what it's leads.

Among the most patriotic are the Polish-Americans! :)

A Polish-American hero:

Casimir Pulaski - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It's always interesting to see how many continental Europeans helped America gain its independence. You had not just Casimir Pulaski but also Bernardo de Gálvez (Spanish), Baron von Steuben (German), and of course the Marquis de Lafayette (French). What's even more interesting is how most of Europe became hostile to America soon after its independence, leaving America diplomatically isolated with nearly all countries besides (ironically) Britain.

The main motivation for the European help to the Americans was to weaken the British Empire, which was the most powerful nation at the time and considered a threat to almost everyone. Another reason why being a superpower is not always a good thing.

The US doesn't have a tradition of allowing peaceful protests unlike India. But I believe we're starting to see the beginning of a revolt by the American middle class:

You got me wrong, I think eventually every nation of the stature that US enjoys now will fall in one way or the other, that is how the world works for centuries. As an upcoming nation, as a nation which has every bit of right as yours to have that coveted spot, it is our right to earn that title. I think China coming out as a super power cannot be more ill timed, not when USA is this strong and will continue to remain so for the foreseeable future and more; this is the time we will be building.

Its to early to say if the Arab Spring is leading to the American winter, but one thing is for sure, there is a lot of unrest every where from EU, to China, India , Middle East and now the US.

If we don't get the world economy moving forward soon, we are going back to a pre WWI or WWII situation politics wise given the damp economic conditions.

True. :)

I think that europe have a complex of former colony that become independant and grow up to the status of superpower, the final barrier of that hate were both world wars when Americans helped west europe to defend against Germany ambitions to be dominant country in europe, then there was cold war where only America was abale to be true stop sign for Soviet Union expansion.

It is sad I must say.

The main motivation for the European help to the Americans was to weaken the British Empire, which was the most powerful nation at the time and considered a threat to almost everyone. Another reason why being a superpower is not always a good thing.
Not all europeans were fighting against Britain, but mostly for ideals of true freedom, like Poles.

And being superpower is not allways good thing but if You are superpower this means You don't have a freedom to act as You will, but to act wisely.

As I said, US with all it flaws have at least one advantage making it superior to any former and future superpower, a true belief in ideals and that they can change a world to a better place.

So we should stop here for a moment and think if it is in the interest of the world that US will not be number 1 anymore and will be replaced by China in that place... IMHO I would rather want to live in 59 state of USA than in some Chinese province under the reign of socialists, in europe it is something that understand only people from countries that were under socialism reign from the start to end of cold war, west europe don't understand this, and they willingly let such people to rule them unfortunetly, but this should be for another debate.

The US doesn't have a tradition of allowing peaceful protests unlike India. But I believe we're starting to see the beginning of a revolt by the American middle class:
Yeah, like allways, some idiots protesting against something that they don't even understand is a voice of whole middle class.

And America have tradition of allowing even not a peacfull protests. IMHO America have the same problem like Europe have these days, a mass of imbeciles shouting about peacfull protests and in the same time destroying everything on their way.

For example we have a march of independence here in Poland, it is a peacefull march with flags etc. but it is allways blocked by left orientated, pro EU young morons that not only call people participating in independecne march as a nazis or fascists (even if these people are just normal citizens that want to celebrate independence of our country), so these young left wing activists are provoking fights, also with police etc.

We see these all around europe, peacfull protests are not so peacfull and it seems that this came to America as well, it would be actually funny thing if these peacfull agressive protests are organized by non americans actually, think about that.

for democracies to fall armageddons have to occur
The best state is Republic or Monarchy, not a so called these days a Democratic state where we have a chaos and politicians are fighting for a vote not for better future of a country, this is sad true.
