The offers were only 1/4th the cost of what it is to replace it and several times below market value. All they wanted was FAIR compensation. Developers should not be allowed to buy up anyone's land for pennies.
The offers including cash and properies, the cash portion is 1/4th, but the MV of properties they got in the cities are higher than what they paid to build their crappy rural house. I know you have habit to spread partial truth to mislead people, that is the building in nature for white trash like you, you got it from your parents, so I don't blame you.

There was a famous case this year, in the case, an individual tried to black mailed the government by using Weibo to spread rumour, the government then changed the whole plan by moving the rail way east for 500 meters, and got a deal with the peasant in that place, the peasant was so happy, he post on Weibo to thank the first guy for doing the stupid thing. Now the first individual's father in law is the owner of the house which should be tear down in the original plan, the father-in-law is so angry because he missed the boat, and his daughter now is in the process of divorcing the first individual. Everybody is laughing at the stupid greedy guy, right now. Those greedy guy put on a show to try to get more, and some even more stupid guy fell for that and paid their meaningless simpathy to those greedy guys.
