Col. Rajendra Singh in an official book published by the History division of the Ministry of Defence in 1987.

1. COMES NOW petitioner, JUGVIR INDER SINGH, citizen of India moves the court, pursuant to Article 32, to bring within its purview a significant historical incident concerning:
a. The largest refugee movement in the World involving more than 75 lakhs of persons allowing them to rehabilitate into the newly created Pakistan and India.
1. The quelling of Riots and maintaining order in the largest civil strife in the world concerning the entire Punjab region.
2. The maintenance of law and order among the Sikh population, being the targets of land loss, genocide and mass movements during the partition
b. The first Military Victory, known as OPERATION SNIPE AND OPERATION ERAZE of the Independent Republic of India, in the 1947-1948 Indo Pak conflict, under full command of Indian Citizens, where the valor, bravery, operation, death, awarding of medals and even the event was either erased or covered up by the respondents.
