Guardian Drones for Indian Navy

    Yes, we do need this drones. Their loitering capability and surveillance tech is beyond anything else on the table right now (taking into account indigenous drones in development and Israeli drones available). Our coastline, being as long as it is, is a BIG liability to our internal security. More pressing is the necessity to be able to maintain a 24X7 surveillance over the Malacca Straits and Pakistan's littoral waters. These drones, alongwith the Searcher IIs, Dornier 228s and the 8 P8Is (+4 more when they arrive) are vital to the IN's surveillance abilities.
