lyrics from the Greek national anthem

[.. I recognize you by the fearsome sharpness,
of your sword
,
I recognize you by the gleam (in your eyes)
with which you rapidly survey the earth.
From the sacred bones,
of the Hellenes arisen,
and valiant again as you once were,
hail, o hail, Liberty.. ]

Indian national motto is Satyamev Jayate (truth prevails) but anything but truth prevails here..............

Your economy is losing 23 million euros a day. Just saying.

Greek hospitals cannot afford painkillers, scissors or sheets as budget cuts bite
Greek hospitals have run out of supplies such as painkillers, scissors and sheets as swingeing budget cuts have left the health service unable to provide even basic provisions for operations and medical procedures.

Huge cuts to the healthcare budget, amid the economic turmoil which made millions unemployed, have left than 2.5m Greeks uninsured, up from 500,000 in 2008, the
Times reported.

On coming to power the Syriza government scrapped the €5 fee for attending state hospitals and pledged to hire 4,500 more health workers, despite the need for austerity and criticism from creditors.

Notwithstanding the government’s promises, healthcare spending has fallen by 25 per cent since 2009, creating shortages of the most basic surgical equipment and leaving too little money to pay nurses' salaries.

Reports have surfaced of patients being turned away from hospital because there was no meter to measure their high blood pressure, while others have had to do without painkillers during medical procedures. One patient was even asked to bring their own sheets to hospital.

A trainee surgeon at KAT, a respected state hospital in Athens, said the situation was at “breaking point”.

“There is no money to repair medical equipment, no money for ambulances to use for petrol, no money to hire nurses and no money to buy modern surgical supplies,” he told the Times.

The news comes as the Greek finance minister, Yanis Varoufakis, warned the country would run out of money in a matter of weeks.

By 5 June Athens must repay the IMF €300m, but should Eurozone creditors not agree to release a €7.2bn loan it is likely Greece will default. A further €820m is due just days later.

It is unclear what this would mean for Greece’s position in the euro club. Christine Lagarde, head of the IMF, said “some progress” was being made in negotiations between the fund and Athens, while Varoufakis said leaving the single currency was “not in our thoughts”.

Last year only, we paid 7B euro total to facilitate our loans to IMF and EU central Bank.
But this is it.. if there is no cash flow in .. we dont pay a penny out.. quite simple

I see what you mean but that is not because of greek resolve, but because you don't have the money...else things would not be so bad for example in the hospital.

I think it is about monthly payments to IMF. I don't think there is any default possibility yet.

So, not-so-Teflon Bundeskanzlerin Merkel was trying to spread her tentacles into Ukraine, while her own house of cards has been at the verge of collapse? Hmmm.

What after Grexit? Brexit?

Now, the Kosovo terrorists version 2 is ready (trained by ISIS, funded by US) to strike in FYRO Macedonia. I doubt the Greeks would be very happy with such developments. I foresee an end to this 70 years of the European stability. Also, European "values" and democracy would be a bigger failure than Soviet Communism.

RESOLUTION of SYRIZA - KAISARIANI District, on the WAR IN UKRAINE AND THE planed SANCTIONS of EU AGAINST THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
http://garizo.blogspot.gr/2015/06/blog-post_10.html

Today, on 9 June 2015 SYRIZA Kaisarianis voted and adopted the following resolution:
-------------------------------------------------- --------------------------
"At the beginning of 2014 the legitimate president of Ukraine was toppled by a violent coup organised by far right and Nazi elements.
The inhabitants of the Crimea and Eastern Ukraine did not recognize the new regime and rdecided by referendums to become independent. In particular the cities of Lugansk and Donetsk they have experienced for the last year the barbarism of the bombing by the Kiev regime with heavy artillery in their cities with carnage of dead and infrastructure disasters.
For that reason:
1. We condemn the aggressive actions of the authoritarian regime of Kiev in the cities of East Ukraine
2. We support the maintenance of MINSK II Agreement that includes the
demilitarization of the conflict zone and free from heavy weapons.
3. We call on the Greek government and the Foreign Ministry not to vote for and to vote against the planned EU sanctions proposal against Russia in late June, sanctions that will hurt also the struggling people of East Ukraine and will support the authoritarian regime of Kiev.

This resolution will be made public and proposed also to the Central Committee of the party, whih is also invited to announce a resolution on this issue. "

this may happen for a while.. people need time to realise the option 2 .. (ie f@ck them all.. )
but nobody really hopes to be able to collect 350B from Greece..
