Do nuclear weapons enhance security for Nuclear proliferators -Institute for National Security Studies (Israel)
2015

Overview:-

India and Pakistan:-

North Korea:-

Q&A:-

Iyer Mitra guy (2nd video) gives an analysis of how India has suffered more due to sub-conventional conflict, more than the sum of all conventional conflicts since independence. He explains how that changed Indian military mindset. He further explains how Indian Army means to call the bluff on Porki nukes and how Indian Army is right. He also explains how Indian strategic restraint is self-enforced, primarily by business magnates who influence politicians, asking them to stay away from war to prevent a reversal to economic progress.

Christine Fair, as she rips Napakistan a new one with a few desi expletives.

Interesting view on how to handle non state actors and employ sub conventional warfare.

Attacking the personality cult in the terror organisation, i.e leadership decapitation people like Abu Duyana, Burhan Wani, etc which it seems what we are doing right now.
Also, effective crowd control like in Europe rather than your everyday barely trained police grunt with bamboo shields.

Here's more of Christine Fair's brilliant and thorough analyses of the septic pit called pakistan.
Watch it, its very enlightening.

Edit: Love it when our partners talking us up, even our representatives are not present in this discussion.

Much of what they are talking we already know.
One observation is that difference between Paki orgin american analyst sitting extreme right and Tanvi an Indian orgin analyst sitting next to him.

Difference is that paki guy is actually delivering paki message to the think tank and Tanvi is making a general analysis and statements.

Also to be noted is that Tanvi is part of the Hillary camp and not necessarily pro-modi. Moreover if Hillary would have won, Tanvi would have been a key person on India issues in American think tank circles.

India’s Development Path – Success Starting at State Level

Rajiv kr Bora from Assam talked only about the poverty, begging bowl, unable to pay salaries, need of more funds, generation of employment, technical know how. Seems like they need to go back to the colleges to learn. Can't they replicate the development model of other states? He emphasized only on Need of funds firstly for salaries, a little bit for development funds. He emphasized that funds given by center to Assam are infact not center funds, but revenue from other states that the center redirected to Assam. He was not grateful. He didn't understand that other states e.g. southern states may have this dissatisfaction that their funds are directed to sick states. Not at all professional approach. Didn't know what to speak at international forums. (My observation)

Need to have more experienced Executive IAS with work experience in other states and can quickly replicate development model.

Another point he made, in 12 districts immigrants population of Muslims is in majority more than local population :frusty:

MP executive was very professional and looked like a business executive. Because of professional approach MP has made a lot of progress.:yo:

Carnegie endowment seems to have a particular interest in Indian politics. They were one of the investors to AAP. Their logic are on the lines expected.

Their interest in Indian politics is because somebody would have sponsored a chair. A chair or endowment(funded) is either sponsored by governments or lobby groups.

In case of Carnegie endowment , key persons are Milind and Ashley tellis. Both are sympathetic to congress and anti BJP. When AAP was in force they had very good things to say about kejri, but now it looks like they are done with AAP.

For ex: this Milind guy called Akhilesh Yadav a young and dynamic mass leader during UP elections in a similar think tank speech. He was pretty sure Akhilesh will win UP elections, based on his own time spent on the ground during campaign period of UP elections.

You will notice that these desi “scholars” will never let the audience know about the extent of reforms and modi govt programs that take place on the ground in India. Only Richard russow of CSIS makes sure ground reports are compiled and disseminated.

Exactly my thesis on china .
China has many contradictions regarding India. The main goal of CCP are
1. Contain India by supporting Pak , Bangladesh , srilanka.
2. Show India as uncivilized poor , raping backward creatures so that Chinese can be grateful to CCP for saving them from similar fate and making them stronger then USA .
3. At the very same time leverage indias growth to access the greatest emerging market in the world.
4. Seek Indian cooperation to change global financial control of west.
5. Stop India from becoming a full fledged American ally i.e. like UK , israle or Japan.
Treaty bound to fight together against china.
Main concern of china is domestic. They can not afford their people to see a democratic country flourishing and have a better life. They are worried because Indians are shining every where compared to Chinese. India has a great cultural influence. and soft power. China is worried that there people should not believe that India under democracy is progressing well and people are happy there. China doe not want a pro democracy agitation once again.

Natural allies

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

You ask us to chose between Russia and USA,sent aircraft carriers when we were engaged in war, denied us GPS in a war again, wanted a close look on our civil nuclear program, tried to sabotage our cryogenic engine program.

Faaaaar from any natural ally,at best a good partner on on commerce and technology.

You know, the guy who introduced the topic was quite correct. Logically, it makes no sense for India and US to be at each other's throats. That was just geopolitics. And now, its again just geopolitics, leavened by our soft power (Indian Americans)
