GDP Growth Picks Up Sharply To 5.7% Per Cent in April-June

India's GDP or gross domestic product grew at 5.7 per cent in April-June quarter, government data showed on Friday. The GDP growth in the first quarter is sharply higher from 4.6 per cent in the previous quarter.

India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the first quarter of the current financial year grew at a 2-year high rate of 5.7%.

• Manufacturing sector grew at 3.5% versus (-)1.4% QoQ
• Agricultural sector growth dipped to 3.8% versus 6.3%
• Services sector grew at 6.8% versus 6.4%
• Industrial sector grew at 4.2% versus (-)0.2%
