UAE
known as the United Arab Emirates it is a collection of seven different eimrates that was pulled in to a federation on the 2nd of December 1971 by a convention signed by the rulers of the Dubai , Abudhabi Sharjah Ajman Umm al Qawin and Ras al Khima with Fujhira joining a year later to complete the Fedration

the Armed forces of UAE Is known as the Union Defense Forces which in essence is some what like we had here in india with the princely state forces being unifed under the Indian army
recently there has been a move towards conscription in the armed forces with a law being passed that stipulates that all citizens should serve in the forces

the UAEUDF comprises of
the Union Army
The Navy
The air force
and the UAE Marines

Tropicalized Leclerc (Leclerc EAU): version of the United Arab Emirates; it is fitted with :

• EuroPowerPack with the 1,100 kW MT883 diesel engine built by the german company, MTU Friedrichshafen - the United Arab Emirates has interests in this company and preferred built by them.

• Externally mounted diesel auxiliary power unit with a tank infantry telephone fitted on its armored box.

• Redesigned engine compartment (louver, access panels).

• Engine-driven mechanical air-conditioning mounted in the left part of the hull to cool the tank without the use of electric current, which could reveal the position of the tank.

• HL-80 commander panoramic sight with Alis thermal camera and laser rangefinder.

• ATO (Armement Télé-Opéré) remote-controlled mount for a 7.62 mm FN MAG machine-gun operated under-armour by the HL-80 panoramic sight.

• Leclerc Battlefield Management System (LBMS).

• Completely automated driving and turret functions with pictograms on the buttons for use by crew with only basic training.

• Thermal tarp.

• Some bustle storage bins are replaced by baskets

For the record , UAE Army has 388 Leclerc . That is some respectable fire power ! 70-80 Leclerc were deployed in Yemen in 2015-2016. First war deployment ever for the French MBT.

the F-16E/F BLK -60 DESERT FALCON is the frontline fighter of the UAEAF
and it equips 3 squadrons

• 1st Shaheen Squadron - F-16E/F Block 60 Desert Falcon

• 2nd Shaheen Squadron - F-16E/F Desert Falcon

• 3rd Shaheen Squadron - F-16E/F Desert Falcon

UAE funded the entire $3 billion Block 60 development costs, and in exchange will receive royalties if any of the Block 60 aircraft are sold to other nations. According to press reports quoted by Flight International, this is "the first time the US has sold a better aircraft [F-16] overseas than its own forces fly".

Like the F-35, the Block 60 F-16 has a built in FLIR/laser targeting system rather than using a dedicated pod that would occupy a hardpoint, increase drag and RCS.

In 2014 the UAE requested an upgrade to Block 61, along with the purchase of 30 more aircraft at that level
one other major difference is that the Desert Falcon is that MIL-STD-1553 data bus is replaced by MIL-STD-1773 fiber-optic data bus which offers a 1,000 times increase in data-handling capability.

UAE also operates the Mirage -2000 in the Mirage -2000-9 configuration based with the Western Air command the type equips 3 Fighter squadrons

• 71st Fighter Squadron - Mirage 2000-9EAD/DAD

• 76th Fighter Squadron - Mirage 2000-9EAD/DAD

• 86th Fighter Squadron - Mirage 2000-9EAD/DAD

Mirage-2000RAD is a UAE specific Variant of the M2000
