Sindhudesh is a concept floated by Sindhi nationalists in Pakistan, for the creation of a Sindhi state, which would be independent from Pakistan. In 1972 G. M. Syed had proposed the formation of an independent nation for the Sindhis by the name Sindhudesh. Syed was the first nationalist politician of Pakistan to call for the independence of his land in the Pakistan. After the death of former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto, the Sindhudesh movement has seen an increase in popularity. large scale migration to Sindh from other regions of Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, alleged Punjabi dominance in the defence sector, and an increase in Taliban migrants moving to Sindh; as well as terrorist related attacks on the region. and believe this to be the cause of recent troubles in Sindh. Pro-Sindhudesh organisations such as the JSMM & JSQM have gained a wider support base.
On March 23, 2012 in Karachi, Hundreds of thousands of leaders, activists and supporters of the JSQM attended a freedom march denouncing the Pakistan Resolution and chanting pro Sindhu Desh slogans. on one hand political parties of Sindh like JSQM and JSMM struggling on political way for freedom on other hand The Sindhudesh Liberation Army of SLA is an organisation based in the Sindh province comparable to the Balochistan Liberation Army BLA in terms of is objectives strives to establish an independent state of Sindhu Desh. A series of blaststook place on railway lines, electricity polls, gas pipe lines, on peopls party minsters's houses, National Bank branch across sindh. SLA left pamphlets on the scene that mentioned "atrocities" being carried out against Sindh and promising to continue their "struggle" till Freedom of Sindhudesh.

Frankly separatist movements of, Sindhudesh or Balochistan are hopeless. They're not only making trouble for the Pakistani establishment, but also inflicting pains on civilians. Most in the world would rather deal with Pakistan an integrated nuke state than several unpredictable fragments.

Such causes would instigate more conflicts resulting from such as re-demarcating those STAN or DESH. They would be hijacked by extremism instead of being "liberated".

every separatist movement is poison for the host nation, a worry for her friend and ecstasy for its enemies.

hopeless or not just depends upon the the separatist leaders and the international support they gather. so its not us but sindhis themselves who can come out and seek independence from pakistan.
since both balochistan and sindh are coastal land piece, they have infinite liberty as against landlocked countries. moreover they both have good reserves of natural resources, sindh even have a nuclear reactor, if something like separation comes up they will be blessed with nuclear technology unlike both india and china themselves(after independence or liberation)

Good point.
Wajdan, is there an organized Sindhi leadership in Pakistan or are the leaders in UK (like the ones of MQM). ??
For any movement to get direction and recognition, the leadership has to come together.
As far as I know, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman didn't get Bangladesh its destiny by staying out.

Regards,
Virendra

because Pakistan is our enemy, Indians here will support any separatist movement in Pakistan. But if you forget the enmity, then such separatist movements can't be allowed in any country, unless there is a major discrimination, things should be settled peacefully.

Actually pakistan is a confused country because they don't have a single cohesive identity to join them together except islam.
In india we have the idea of bharatvarsh/bharat/aryavarta, A SINGLE CULTURAL IDENTITY spanning over 7000 years.Anyone in india who doesn't believe in this idea is a potential separatist. So in India we just have to reeducate them about their past and they will drop their arms.(China is teaching alternate history in tibet to subdue separatism so atleast we can teach here the authentic history which has the power to subdue separatism,we just need to kick out the leftist scums from the government)

But Pakistan is an artificial state which has nothing to trout of except Islam and in 1971 even their religious identity failed.
Compared to that Sindhis are brave people who have belief in their glorious past and i am sure one day they will achieve their goals.Fortunately for Sindudesh it borders India!!! So we can help them when needed :)

For "Wadderaas" are a few u can count on fingers. They are not a problem. For the Hyderabad, it is a strong hold of sindhis. It is the center of sindhi nationalism and is headquarter of various sindhi nationalist organizations. For Karachi, it is no more muhajir(indian immigrant) city. No the power equation in karachi has changed. There are now three major stakeholders in karachi, the muhajirs, Sindhis and Pushtuns (Pathaans). So, karachi is going no where. It will remain a part of sindh.

Sir - i hope admin can allow you to change your flag to either something you have designed or something more suitable .... flying a pak flag and seeking to break out somehow looks incompatible to me ?

most important point Sir is the other nationalities which Pak govt has tried to inject to dilute your demographics - sending in thousands or hundreds of thousands of mohajirs and pathans in an attempt to confuse the popularity of your movement for independence

Let's be realistic because anything less is just wasteful dreaming ..... do you have enough critical mass to gather momentum for the movement towards independence ? if that were the case, then there should be demonstrations every month , if not weekly ......or should you seek a different solution - because if things remain as they are, then the status quo will remain , i.e. part of pak and more mohajirs will be sent to change the chemistry of your province .

those are the facts - time is not easily on your side if you remain silent and not act soon
no human force of protests or demonstrations and nothing changes ( abridgement of newtons first law )

Miss Roma,
Unfortunately, there is no flag of SINDHUDESH or BALOCHISTAN in the flags directory of IDF.
So, I had to choose the paki flag unwillingly. Since I am unwillingly living in Pakistan, Unwillingly having the citizenship card, passport and etc of Pakistan.
I have no choice until Sindhudesh is freed. I am slave and slaves have no choices of their own. .

For the masses, yes.. we have masses.. majority of people in sindh now support the idea of sindhudesh.. and there are many nationalist and separatist parties in sindh, the major being JSQM and JSMM. JSQM had a show of public strength on 23 march 2012 and nov 2009, you can find their videos on youtube.
You are talking about weekly, but we have demonstrations and protest over here daily. BUT SINCE PAKISTANI URDU MEDIA (the so called national media) DOES NOT SHOW THE SINDHI NATIONALISTs' demos and rallies as is the case with the baloch freedom movement.. it is hard to find any show of baloch movement on paki media.
