Former telecom minister A Raja's nephew dies at gym CHENNAI: Deepak (30), a nephew of former Union minister A Raja, died reportedly of cardiac arrest while working out at a gym in Alwarpet on Wednesday, police said. Police have not registered a case. CBI, investigating the 2G spectrum case, had raided his house along with those of Raja and his associate Sadhick Batcha in December 2010. Batcha was found hanging in his Chennai residence on March 17, 2011. Deepak (30), an engineer working with a private company in Chennai had gone to the gym on TTK Road in Alwarpet on Wednesday. While working out, he complained of chest pain to the instructor. He was advised rest and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors declared him 'brought dead'. "Deepak's family members have not filed a police complaint and hence we have not registered a case," said a senior police officer. Mylapore deputy commissioner of police S Rajendran said, "If the doctors think there is something suspicious about the death, we will investigate. If it is a natural death, no case will be registered. During medico-legal cases, police register a case and a postmortem is done."
