Pakistanis who are going through identity crisis and few of them are now calling them selves vedic. Lol They have not just only began to accept their Hindu lineage but also claim the origins of Vedas to them.

They are trying to connect themselves with the Vedas and calling rest of the India a different in nature civilization. They try to formulate an argument that since they are the inhabitants of the place they are the origins of Vedas and they are the owners of this culture.

Then their argument takes a turn that, since they own the civilization, they can change the faith of it to Islam, and this wouldnt change the nature of civilisation. As they hold the ownership of the civilisation they have authority to do whatever they want. I fail to understand this foolish argument.

Otherhand they create a misinformation regarding vedas and civilisation that its indifferent from Hindus/dharmic people. I am not sure from where they bring such interpretations but they happen to be big time assholes who have no idea regarding vedas. I again fail to understand that what a Muslim Pakistan has to do with Vedas??
These people can't even read vedas nor can they write in devnagri, I don't know from where and from which book they are bringing the foolish and semi literate stuff? I mean are Pakistanis really this insane and low on esteem?

Their argument goes, people living near the Ganga river are different from people living near the Indus and Indus people are the real owners of Vedas, but they fail to counter the fact that before Ganga and Sindhu river, more emphasis was given to Saraswati river. Having said that I wish to share that, is this a matter of argument that which river you reside along or which place you have settled yourself? The vedic civilization starts from the knowledge what human has learnt not where human resides. The conclusion I would make is, Pakistanis should rather study their Islamic books and preach their people regarding not to run after 72 hoors after blowing themselves.

India's international isolation is complete, says Pakistan:bs:

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday said India stands isolated in the international community after a damning report by the United Nations accusing Indian security forces for gross human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.

“The isolation of India in the international community is complete,” said Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal at a weekly news briefing. “The skeletons in Indian closet are growing in numbers and size. Right-wing governments end up paying a high price,” he added.

In first of its kind report, the office of the UN High Commissioner on Human Rights accused India of committing atrocities in occupied Kashmir. The UN Human Rights chief said he would recommend establishment of a commission of inquiry to look into the rights abuses in the disputed Jammu and Kashmir state.

India, however, rejected the UN report saying it had no business with its internal matters.

Pakistan, on the other hand, welcomed the UN report and expressed its willingness to give unfettered access to the proposed commission to its part of Kashmir. “We are ready for a commission of inquiry to visit both AJK and IOK. India has again backed out,’ the spokesperson regretted.

Pakistan maintains numerical superiority over India in nuclear weapons: report

Dr Faisal said Pakistan welcomed the OHCHR report’s recommendation for an independent, international commission of inquiry to assess the situation in IOK which was consistent with several calls by Pakistan and the OIC IPHRC to the same effect, since 2016.

The report, which is sharply critical of the human rights atrocities being committed with impunity by Indian occupation forces in IOK, especially the use of pellet guns, draconian laws, including the AFSPA and the SPA, use of rape to gag dissent, communication blockade, including the internet and violation of right to life, health, education and peaceful protests, confirms the humanitarian emergency in IOK.

It also highlights the absence of recourse to justice by the victims. India’s knee-jerk rejection of the report indicates its complete insensitivity to international law and its deplorable intransigence, which has delayed the resolution of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) dispute since the last seven decades and holds the regional peace and development hostage, even now.

The spokesperson said despite hollow Indian assertions, Jammu and Kashmir remains an internationally recognised disputed area, pending on the agenda of the UN Security Council.

“The dissociation of India from reality is alarming. Indian attempts to exploit and cash in on the international environment by labelling the legitimate Kashmiris struggle terrorism makes a mockery of the victims of actual terrorism and is reprehensible,” he added.

“If it really has nothing to hide, India can address its claims of the report being based on unverified information by allowing the COI and OIC IPHRC access to IOK.”

New Delhi rejects China’s offer to mediate Pakistan-India disputes

Dr Faisal also denounced “the tragic and brutal killing” of Kashmiri journalist Shujaat Bukhari, editor-in-chief of Rising Kashmir, by gunmen outside his office in Srinagar on 14 June.

His assassination, due to his unremitting efforts for the Kashmiri cause will be remembered forever and is a clear manifestation of Indian state terrorism, the spokesperson said.

“Shujaat Bukhari’s brutal murder by Indian forces is reflection of the intolerance of Indian state apparatus who wants to stifle freedom of speech and expression. The Indian government remains fearful of international exposition of the brutalization of occupied Jammu & Kashmir. India can run, but can it hide? This remains to be seen,” he asked.

He further said Shujaat Bukhari’s targeted killing, within hours of his tweet on the OHCHR’s report on Jammu & Kashmir, raised serious questions about the motivation behind his murder.

“Indian attempts to politicise his death and to deflect attention, not only from the Indian atrocities in IoK, but also the very real threat faced by independent journalists in India, when they differ from the government’s stance, are condemnable.”

Geneva: Pashtuns protest against Pak Army
ANI | Updated: Jun 25, 2018 18:17 IST

Geneva, [Switzerland] June 25 (ANI) : Members of the Pashtun community with origins in Pakistan and Afghanistan held protests against Pakistani Army in front of the office of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
They shouted anti-Pakistan slogans and blamed Pakistani Army for allegedly carrying out atrocities on Pashtun people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and parts of neighbouring Afghanistan.
Nafratullah, an activist of Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) said, "For the past 40 years, Pakistan has been carrying out atrocities on the Pashtuns living in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Afghanistan. We are now protesting outside the UN and other European organisations to seek justice. We will fight until we get out rights."
A Pashtun protester from Afghanistan, Zirak said, "We have gathered here to protest against Pakistan's intelligence agency, the ISI, because they are not only creating troubles in Afghanistan but Balochistan and Kashmir. Pakistan is a terrorist-producing country - be it Lashkar-e-Taiba, Daesh and the Taliban. Today, we have gathered here to raise our voice in front of United Nations."
The Pashtuns were joined by Baloch, Sindhi and activists from Pakistan occupied Kashmir, as all of them are facing persecution by the Pakistani security forces.
Munir Mengal, president of Baloch Voice Association said, "Today, we not only Baloch but Pashtuns and Kashmiris, who are subjugated through enforced disappearances and extra-judicial killings, have gathered here to raise our voice together. We ask United Nations to take initiatives and intervene to save the lives of people in Pakistan."
Chairman of United Kashmir People's National Party Sardar Shaukat Ali Kashmiri, said, "Today, we are here to protest against the brutality of Pakistan and its institution. Pakistan is actually promoting Theo-fascism and suppresses the democratic voices of the civil society. We are here to protect historical nations, their culture and their identity. Pakistan is a theo-fascist state and we are here to expose its expansionist designs."
Enforced disappearances are also prevalent in the resource-rich province of Balochistan where Pakistani forces resort to brutal means to suppress ethnic Baloch separatist groups.
The Voice of Baloch Missing Persons claims over 18,000 cases of enforced disappearances in this region alone. (ANI)

Pakistan ex-PM Nawaz Sharif given 10-year jail term
  • 06 July
Image captionNawaz Sharif denies any wrongdoing
A Pakistani court has sentenced former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to 10 years in prison on corruption charges related to four luxury London flats.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court handed down the verdict after a series of delays.

His daughter, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, received a seven-year sentence, while his son-in-law, Safdar Awan, was given a one-year sentence.

Nawaz Sharif has said the charges are politically motivated.

Both he and his daughter are in London, whereSharif's wife, Kulsoom Nawaz, is receiving treatment for cancer .

Judge Mohammad Bashir ordered Sharif to serve 10 years for owning assets beyond income and one year for not co-operating with the NAB. He will serve his sentences concurrently.

Daughter Maryam received seven years for abetting a crime and one year for not co-operating - again to run concurrently - while Safdar Awan's sentence is for not co-operating.

Sharif and Maryam also received fines of £8m ($10.6m) and £2m respectively.

Nawaz shareef has always been subjected to ouster by the law enforcement or the army being one of the powerful personality in Pakistan. The reason behind this could be it's soft heartedness towards India? It's noticable that whenever Nawaz shareef has tried to come close to India or India has tried to approach him, especially during BJP era he has been ousted.

There is no doubt that ISI is behind his ouster as they fear that Nawaz is the gateway of Indian influence into Pakistan. His tenure when you compare to Zardari, where very less contacts were made by the latter with Indian head of state.

I see a small skirmish in upcoming months with the Pakistan.

For them, Pakistan = Punjab. The rest are a burden and non entities including Sindhis, Mohajirs, Pashtuns, Baloch etc. No wonder they are up in arms against the atrocities they are being subjected to.

I wonder if there would be a Pakistan today if Brits hadn't recruited increasing numbers of Punjabi Muslims in armed forces in late 19th-early 20th C.

Shitistan was not formed by Pakjabi musalmaan, but by Landlords and musalmaan gentry mostly of UP, CP, Bengal, Hyderabad and Bombay.

Soon after Shitistan came into being, the Pakjabi musalmaan realised that they need not share the spoils with the rootless ponces and started cutting the Muhajiraan to size.

Bangaalis caught on quick enough and broke away in 1971. So now Pakjabis had a smaller territory and fewer resources but increasing number of unwashed Abduls to rule over.

Yes, upper class of largely UP-Bihar-Bengal momins and partly of other regions contributed a lot to the formation of Jihadistan but they also had assurance of having Punjabi cannon fodder if they were needed. Also, brits made it their policy to recruit more Punjabi momins before and during WW2, quadrupling their numbers in army.
