PAKFA is not a stealth fighter, the Rafale with conformal fuel tanks has a smaller RCS. What you need is more Rafale until you can develop AMCA and you will need offsets from Rafale to complete that. Investing in Rafale also leaves an open entry to the Dassault SCAF project if AMCA gets held back.

It's not new, I already told on the forum that the decision to take 2 SU57 escorted by SU35S just after having some sorties in Russia to Syria was itself a shocker, they were doing something confidential with it, I mean who has got guts to put a multimillion dollar weapons platform with sensitive data on-board which have barely made enough sorties to a place where it could be shot down. They are goodness darn confident.

Syria also played a large part in data gathering for SU57 and SU35S.

The Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) received the third and fourth of 40 F-35A Lightning II fifth-generation stealth fighters earlier this week, according to a report .

The two aircraft arrived at the ROKAF’s 17th Fighter Wing at a military air base in Cheong Ju, North Chungcheong province on July 15, the country’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) said in a statement.

The two F-35As–the aircraft’s conventional takeoff and landing variant–departed Luke Air Force Base in the U.S. state of Arizona a week ago. ROKAF pilots have been undergoing F-35A flight training at the base over the past few years and a South Korean pilot conducted his first F-35A solo mission there in July 2018.

According to the Indian Marshal, the Commander-in-Chief of the country's Air Force, India is ready to buy a Su-57 from Russia after these planes are put into service with the Russian Federation Air Force "and will show themselves."

Recall that initially several Su-57s with the engines of the so-called first stage will arrive in the VKS of Russia. These engines were most actively criticized by the Indian side. In India, stated that the engines do not meet the parameters of the fifth generation. In addition to engines, Indian partners still have claims on the implementation of low-visibility technology for the Su-57.

Only two planes can be called 5th gen fighters, first one is F22 and second one is F35. Only NATO and American allies are getting F35. And how good F35 is, is disputed. Recently Turkey has decided to go for Russian S400 system knowing the fact that they will be denied F35.
Chinese J20 and J31, Russian Su57 are not true 5th gen fighters. J 20 is still flying with Al31, and J31 with RD 33 engines. It will take at least a decade to mature these platforms.
Meanwhile we have developed 4th gen Tejas and developing 4.5 gen MWF and 5th gen AMCA. We have developed many key technologies like, quadruplex digital fly-by-wire flight control system, Uttam AESA radar(Testing), Radar absorbent skin, Mayavi EW system, composites (pioneer), advance next-generation distributed digital flight control computer (DDFCC) and many of the key technologies. AMCA is in prototype stage already and will take its maiden flight before 2024. Only propulsion is main cause of concern and AMCA will fly with GE 414 enhanced engine in initial stage.

Why should we drop S400? You think we should drop S400 deal in American pressure and then buy Su 57, Su35, and upgrade to super Sukhoi.
I have asked you a very simple question in another thread about your expectations from super sukhoi upgrade and you didn't answer yet. I am still waiting.
