Let's face it. F 35 is the F 16 of 5th gen aircraft. There will be better 5th gen aircraft for export in the future, but this is the standard option most countries will take. Similar to how there were many superior 4th gen aircraft after F 16, but it still became a success. Stealth is an undeniable advantage even considering the counter measures. With French aviation expertise, I don't know why you guys haven't started work on a stealth fighter yet. It would be a great addition to the fighter market if there was an alternative French or European 5th gen option. Right now most countries who want to replace their old f 16s, mirage 2000s, f 18 etc have no other choice except F 35.
It's why Canada don't want F35,
Australia taking SH18
Israel wanting a new batch of F15 ....

F16 was versatile, and proved it.
F35 is not. and will never be. Too many compromises on aerodynamism and the STOVL version damaging the others. It's an engeneer dream, but too ambitious. The result is an average plane. Good in nothing and average in everything.
Russian and chinese pilots can smile.

The Canadian Air Force definitely wants the F-35, it is politicians in power who initially do not want it. But now under the new tender the F-35 is already included while SH is nowhere to be found.

Australia taking SH18
You always have these debunked talking lines. The Growler order of Australia were a different program to F-35. The F-35 for Australia is a definite go. In fact, the Australians are so excited to get the F-35 into service.

Trying another line of attack? This one fizzles even before it could warm up...

No, Israel's Interest In Buying New F-15s Isn't A Referendum On The F-35

The F-16 was topnotch for its time, but against the F-35, well as I said the F-16 already had its time. Just look at the results of Red Flags.

The Russians and the Chinese are definitely not smiling at the F-35, shaking in fear is the more apt term. The Russians are not only trying to influence US elections they have also been trying to derail the F-35 program by malicious bots, social media posts and fake news against F-35 and its users while its own PAKFA is in the woods and with questionable stealth qualities. China on the other hand can't even make a proper jet engine let alone laugh at the F-35...

As for Rafale, well it's old against the F-35. Get over it.

one is on duty every day.
The other is on permanent overhaul. The first 200 just good enough for basic training and non exciting aero show.

What will Belgium choose — Typhoon or Lightning?

...Anthony Gregory is the Campaign Director for Belgium at BAE Systems. He told Combat Aircraft: ‘Belgium is looking for a deep and enduring collaboration and this represents the most extensive partnership the RAF has ever put forward.’ The UK offer to Belgium is understood to include the full Project ‘Centurion’ weapons set and full integration into the TyTAN support model for the most efficient cost per flying hour. The aircraft on offer is understood to be a snapshot of what the RAF expects to be flying in 2023 — probably a P4E-vision with the E-Scan radar, Striker II helmet, SPEAR 3 and the full UK weapons set; Meteor, ASRAAM, Storm Shadow, Brimstone and Paveway IV.

Traditionally, Belgium has enjoyed a close working relationship with the Royal Netherlands Air Force, but the Dutch involvement as a Tier 2 partner in the F-35 program means their Benelux brothers are currently left on the sidelines and standing to incur a significant cost to buy into the Lightning II program. Gregory points to the UK and US Air Force models of partnering F-35 with the F-22 or the Typhoon, the ‘complementary mix’ of assets — the Typhoon being the high-end air defender, and the F-35 not being as well suited to quick reaction alert (QRA) or air policing. So, partnering Typhoon with F-35 could provide a rounded solution for the Benelux...

Because they make 33% of it...........
Which once again shows your lack of understanding, since Germany only stops defence exports of complete systems from Germany, not export of subsystems and they can't stop other partners from selling EFs either. So the EFs that will be build in the UK, with German parts will be sold to Saudi for sure.

In regard to those export licenses they also apply to....

darunter Patrouillenboote und Komponenten für "Tornado"- und "Eurofighter"-Kampfflugzeuge.

Germany exports all components to the UK, the UK then sells the complete fighter to Saudi Arabia or the UAE, under their own export laws.
