it doesn't matter anymore.at that time we were extremely naive as a nation,we thought that diplomacy meant having good terms with every other country.we made a mess out of our foreign policy at that time and started that NAM movement.that's the main reason why both U.S. and U.S.S.R. didn't support us!but the good thing is that we have learnt from our past mistakes and our current foreign policy(specially the "look east policy") has started to bear fruits of success!:thumb:

no one to blame
its fault our the then govt and its failed policies.we don't have friends back then to support us

forget USA & USSR, our ordenance factories that time were making pressure cooker and coffee machines, we didnt had ammo, at that time as told by my college professor, Nehru asked for private sector help, they said give us 4 days we will start making ammo, 4 days for making changes to machine to make ammo.
Some how Chinese back off.

It is frustrating that we cannot make out the simple fact the nations with the size and scale such as ours cannot be subordinates or have protectorates, nations like us have to make themselves strong and stand up in the world independently no one will come to save us when we are in trouble or in conflict with other nations. History has tough us this lesson many times but we still are oblivious of this fact, and as a result we have been fragmented and divided and this trend continues till this day. Lets face it survival of the fittest works come what may.
