Jabir-bin-hayan is considered the father of chemistry!
(H2SO4) is credited to him.
@Dovah what about nitric acid??
.
@Alpha1 most of the scientific studies which you are showing are done by people under the caliph but that do not mean Islam contributed to science.

The most notable inventions and discoveries are done by West, Indians have contributed during our golden ages but faded away when Islamic invasions began in India, that itself is the indication of Islamic rule.

People from Islamic countries did contribute to science but that was for a short period and after that they went into dark ages due to various reasons , one of then is Fatwas by religious people.

How are you concluding Islam contributed to science and Islamic system is good for science.

Regarding Morals and Religion, Change is a constant thing and what ever morals told in 7th century A.D may not apply for 21st century. So in my view a reform is necessary for any system. Democracy provides that platform , Democracy coupled with Human rights, freedom of speech is the way forward.

Compare it with Quran which is static and cannot be reformed.

If you bring in religion into state affairs in current age, you will see lot of contradictions and confusion, Pakistan is an example.

What do the contributions of medieval Persian scientists have to do with anything? The fact is that Pakistan is a shithole and the only notable scientist that they have produced, Abdus Salam, has been branded a heretic (he is an Ahmadiyya) and mention of him has been purged from Pakistani textbooks. I don't see how such a pious action is helpful for science.

Isaac Newton was also a devout Christian and in fact wrote more books on Christian theology than physics or mathematics. Does that prove that Christianity is conducive for the development of science?

Wrong. He is considered a hero and is present in Textbooks!

There are a lot of scientific errors in Bible- but not in the Quran.
Quran compels the muslims to seek scientific knowlegde!

But he still remains a kafifir!

Now are you aware of the controversy over his grave?

The Christians would beg to differ!

I cant understand why the topic suddenly came to Muslim Scientists??

Pakistan will be divided in free Balochistan, Free Sindhudesh.:balochistan::sindhudesh: Only Pakistani Punjabis love Pakistan mainly.

Don't carry out attacks inside Pakistan as it is not jihad

So it is clear the attack out side of Pakistan is Jihad and killing of people is justified. Hence Pakistanis are Muslims so it is not good to kill Muslim being Muslim and by the way this also indicates killing non-Muslims is Jihad and so it is justified.
:scared2:

Only I can say if Indian Muslim's can live in India then no need of Pakistan.

When my country will be united?? Again??:india:

Please refer to 10:40 in this video:

Please prove to me that Abdus Salam is officially considered a hero in contemporary Pakistan.

Bet you don't believe in evolution either, huh.
We dont have to call a monkey our Dad to believe in Evolution.
Do you know the diffrence between Law, Theory and a hypothesis?

Which scientific hypothesis says that monkeys are dads of Human beings that you do not accept.

Polemics and exaggeration is Pakistani trait, and all it is done to defend some business of God.

The Quran is full of religious nonsense with no scientific basis, as all religions. With educated Pakis behaving the way you are, I am not surprised that Pakistan has turned out the way it has.

Example? I will gladly clarify

Sorry to dissapoint you!
Yeah, really? I am finding it mind-boggling that someone who is educated and ought to have at least a basic scientific temper is talking about believing a book written thousands of years ago in all matters of science and life!!

Did Muhammed split the moon and glue it together? What a fairy tale! Is the Earth a flat surface floating on water which needs mountains to "stabilize" it? Ever heard of anything more preposterous? Is the Earth flat?

There is no end to this nonsense in any religious book. Religion should be taken as something personal, and for individual mental satisfaction and happiness. This is what most Hindus do, and this is why India is so much more peaceful and less violent than Pakistan.

Science Islam - The Quran on Mountains
.
A book entitled "Earth" is considered a basic reference text
in many universities around the world. One of the authors of this
book is Frank Press. He is currently the President of the
Academy of Sciences in the USA.
Previously, he was the science advisor to former USA President
Jimmy Carter. His book says that
mountains have underlying roots
These roots are deeply embedded in the ground. So
mountains have a shape like a
peg as is seen in an example on
page 220 in the same book.
Another illustration shows how the mountains are peg-like in shape, due to their deep roots [p.158].
This is how the Quran described mountains. God said in the
Quran:
Have We not made the earth as a bed, and the mountains as
pegs? [Noble Quran 78:6-7]
Modern earth sciences have proven that mountains have
deep roots under the surface of the ground and that these roots
can reach several times their elevations above the surface of
the ground. So the suitable word to describe mountains on the basis of this information is the
word 'peg', since most of a properly set peg is hidden under
the surface of the ground. The history of science tells us that the theory of mountains having deep roots was introduced only in the
latter half of the nineteenth century. [Geological Concept of
Mountains p.5]
Mountains also play an important
role in stabilizing the crust of the earth. [Geological Concept of
Mountains pp. 44-45]. They hinder the shaking of the earth.
God said in the Quran:
And He has set firm mountains in the earth so that it would not shake with you... [Noble Quran 16:15]
Likewise the modern theory of plate tectonics holds that
mountains work as stabilizers for the earth. This knowledge about the role of mountains as
stabilizers for the earth has just begun to be understood in the framework of plate tectonics
since the late 1960's
[Geological Concept of
Mountains p. 5] .
Could anyone during the time of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) have known of the
true shape of mountains? Could
any one imagine that the solid massive mountain which he sees before him, actually extends deep
into the earth and has a root, as scientists assert? A large number of books of geology when
discussing mountains, only describe that part which is above the surface of the earth. This is because these books were not
written by specialists in geology.
However, modern geology has
confirmed the truth of the Quran's verses.
IS The earth flat?
THE QURAN never stated that!

There is no end to this nonsense in any religious book. Religion should be taken as something personal, and for individual mental satisfaction and happiness. This is what most Hindus do, and this is why India is so much more peaceful and less violent than Pakistan.
Islam not only give mental peace and Satisfaction. IT is a complete code of life!
Its much much more!

^^ I give up. Religious nuts keep giving nonsense justifications in websites etc. about how their religion has the answers to all questions in the world. We have a few Hindu religious nutters too, who say that the Vedas contain every scientific invention known to man, from atomic science to aerospace. Fortunately, they are not taken seriously and their school of thought is not mainstream in India.

When it comes to Islam and Pakistan however, nutters and nutty views are mainstream. Mark my words - if you continue along this Islam-obsessed path, your nation will see nothing but utter ruin. Just wait and watch.

In 7 youm ;
In Arabic "youm" means a "time period" That period can be A billion days or billion years!
Quran says that the World was created in 7 diffrent time periods!
all humans are the children of adam
Science cant approve or reject that claim ^
who got created by gods.
GOD not gods
