What 18 guns per annum...just that much...what the hell is that speed
For an order of only 114 guns, 18/annum from year 1 is perfectly acceptable. Remember among side this the IA will be inducting 30+ M777 and 35+ K9 a year so the IA will be very very close to inducting 100 155mm arty guns a year, this is an incredible turnaround considering when Modi came in the IA hadn’t inducted any 155mm guns for decades and there were 0 such guns even on order.

This is a legitmately HUGE achievement for Modi that NO mainstream media will talk about.

With ATAGS this will easily cross 100/year, if given large enough orders the production partners say they can ramp up to churn out 100 ATAGS a year alone. A HUNDRED new world class 155/52 guns a year with 50+ km range. This is no joke.

That's what reservation quota chaap parasite Govt. Employees make.....

HAL can't even make 16 LCA per year.

During Kargil war our ordnance factories could just make 7000 rounds of Bofors ammunition in a month while Kalyani steel delivered more than 1 lakh rounds in a month.
All ordnance factories are infested with these parasites...:frusty:

You are just feeding the troll. Look what is written.

GCF till now has developed 12 Pre-production Dhanush 155-millimeter/45-caliber towed howitzer which was extensively used by Indian Army for series of user Trials over the years. Six guns to be handed over are from the initial order for 114 guns.

Indian Army is planning to link a fresh deal with Gun Carriage Factory (GCF) for 414 Dhanush guns in coming months with that production will begin at full scale at the production line.
GCF would hand over 6 from the initial order of 114 for ceremonic induction. After that only full scale production would resume. How could anyone jump into full scale production untill they get all clear from user trials?

Baba Kalyani told that he can supply one gun every alternate day. But these are public money eating PSUs. They are daughter in laws of Nation.
Its not about churning out guns, its amount the speed of induction. Baba Kalyani could churn out 30 guns per month, but what would be the induction speed of IA? Every gun would have to go through extensive firing trials among with other tests before induction. What if any gun fail in one of the test? Would Baba Kalyani recall the whole batch then?

At 1.5 gun per month, at least the makers would be able to keep QA intact till induction.

an idiot will believe that guns will be delivered at this pace of 10 per month (considering 20 working days) and that too in a year. So if baba gets order for 114 guns, he will deliver all 114 in 1 year and idiots like you believe so, where will be the profit?

Production increases with increase in numbers, OFB will only increase production if guns are ordered in huge numbers, else its not economical to produce guns so quick..that's how economies work in peace time.

Dhanush has been in testing phase since 2016 ,so getting bulk production nod from MoD is a big deal ,also 18 guns is good induction rate in a first year of series production,we will also be getting m777 ,k9 vajra ,sharang upgrade and now dhanush ,so heavy artillery augmented to a different level ,also ATAGS is moving very fast to a bulk order

Think of it another way... Right now, due to Khangress govt not buying any arty, Pak Army's firepower at LOC almost matches ours. That's why artillery-duels don't crush them at the border & we may end up taking more casualties.

Few years from now, they will be as far behind as their Air Force (once at par) is behind ours!
