i didnt bother reading the whole thing in the first post after reading the first couple of paras which actually shows complete lack of knowledge of the Cold Start.
Why India did not attack Pakistan in 2002 and 2008? The Bharati Army hopes to demolish the 7th largest army in a few days using its rapid deployment Pakistan-specific force which is parked right on the Pakistani border. The army along with the IAF hopes to take out the Pakistan Army's command and control centers and duplicate the US attack on Iraq which destroyed the Iraqi radar system within a few hours of the attack and then had free reign over the air space. Responding to the "Surgical Strikes": Neutralizing Delhi's Cold Start strategy.
Wrong, India doest not look to destroy the entire PA the "7th largest army in the world". That would constitute crossing the threshold of Pakistans stated nuclear doctrine. The Cold Start at the very outset is clear about being a doctrine that does not let Pakistan feel that the nuke threshold has been crossed at any point.
The Doctrine does not take into account the effect of Pakistani missiles, and nuclear assets. However there is much emphasis on "wiping out Pakistan".
Read the above post again.
The Doctrine fails to understand the problems that India faces in Kashmir, Assam and the Maoist insurgency.
Bummer!!! where does this come into the picture? Beats me.
After dramatic failure of "Cold Start Strategy" India comes up with cockamamy "96 hour Rapid Thrust" scheme
Dramatic failure? I must have have been living in amnesia.. When did Indian go to war testing the Cold start against Pakistan an loose dramatically to realise that the whole strategy is a "Dramatic Failure"????
This is where i stopped reading the article.
