The first time Assam is mentioned in this thread is in post #8 and that is your post. Then you went on to reprimand a poster for going off topic when he countered your already off topic post with a Tibet question. Hypocritical much?
This is what Tshering said:

As usual.

Sell-out slaves of China.

They will show all their two-sides on Pakistan but piss off when it comes to the eastern border.

WTF are we northeast Indians? Aliens? Who don't need protection?
I was noting why other people in India might think of Assamese as aliens who don't need protection. Of course Indians will feel that way, since when have you seen a major Assamese politician come out and loudly attack China?

Of course you would :)
Because unlike most DFIers I know how to keep a thread focused on a topic.

And you replied with:

Perhaps a sizeable portion of your compatriots in Assam would like to be part of China.
Your post did nothing of that sort. It was clearly a flame bait. You did not even read the poorly edited Wikipedia article that you posted which has no mention of China and Assam. The fact is, you know nothing of what you are talking about here.

Because unlike most DFIers I know how to keep a thread focused on a topic.
Your self praise aside, all your post on this thread have been off topic when the topic is about Chinese incursion in Arunachal Pradesh.

Anyhow, here is the history of the Assamese Independence Movement:

Assamese separatist movement - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Since 1990, tens of thousands of Assamese have given their lives in the pursuit of an independent Assam. Even if the Indian Constitution disallows it, that is a clear vote for secession; those ballots are marked not with ink, but with blood.
You have to visit Assam to realise that ULFA is dead as the D*odo bird.

Over two decades after ULFA's founding, Assam has neither broken away from India nor established a socialist government.

Many, including leaders, have surrendered!

talks were held.

However, Ulfa leaders during the talks maintained that talks are on the right track. But the ground reality has changed. They now have little influence in areas like the Barak Valley, projected Bodoland, Kamatapur, Dimaraji and Karbibhumi. They have already given up the demand for sovereignty.

The Ulfa leadership is said to have raised some political and economic demands to safeguard the interests of the indigenous population of Assam and also to keep illegal Bangladeshis from dabbling in local politics. In principle, the Centre has agreed to grant Scheduled Tribe status to ethnic groups like the Morans, Motoks, Chutias, Koch-Rajbongshis and Tai-Ahoms.

ULFA is supported by China and the ISI.

But then, it is true that China is barking up a wrong tree with their intrusions.

 Assam is not Kashmir, and you have no proof of Chinese support to independence movements in either region.
Dude, I am a northeast Indian. I LIVE in this region and am politically quite active to know what I am talking about.

There are some more NE Indians here. Why don't you ask him yourself?

What proof of Chinese support are you talking about?

Anthony Shimray's communications were tracked down to Yunnan in your country.

All the weapons that NSCN and M use are cloned copies of AKs and M-16s which are made by you.

Years ago, when you supported Dahal in Nepali monarchy's overthrow, your supplied weapons were in the hands of all the Maoist cadres. Even our own Naxalite terrorists wield them.

There is more proof than you can imagine. But you suffer from an ailment that your new servants, the Pakistanis had developed since their partition: Denial.

So feel free to disagree.
