I understand that we don't have the economic resources to project our military globally to the extent that western powers can, but I think we need to take a more serious look at the problems that the Middle East and the wider Muslim world causes for India - it's worse than any other adversary including China in my opinion.
Russia is another major close ally of India, alongside the US, which provides us with an opportunity to have a military establishment in an area that would otherwise present India with great challenges from occupying., through the military base in Crimea.
Russia uses Crimea as a major military base for operations in the western Middle East - similar to how most countries use Dijuboti as a base for operations in the eastern Middle East oceans. I think it would be advantageous for India to use Crimea as a base for operations against the western Middle East.
