I am not having any problem accessing DFI. It is fast enough. I am not sure it is a problem with the site.

Clear you cookies and use Chrome. Here, I just emboldened this, using Control+B. If you are using IE, you are stuck in the previous decade. :)

Who is Fethullah Gulen?
Posted at23:0515 Jul

BBC
Fethullah Gulen being interviewed by the BBC in 2014

The background of the coup attempt remains unclear, however people have alleged it could involve a US-based cleric.

President Erdogan earlier told CNN Turk by mobile phone the action was by a "parallel structure".

He has used this term in the past to refer to Fethullah Gulen, a cleric who is living in exile in Pennsylvania.

Here is our profile of him.

NDTV is showing it like a minor incident has happened, every thing Hunky Dory. No wonder they see everything from Pakistani perspective.

Sorry for digressing; It looks like Erdogan got short circuit as he was playing with naked live wires. It couldn't have been predicted but with a hindsight now I can say he got what he deserved. AV posted by one member on first page with background sound of loud Azzaan make perfect sense why such anarchy can not be ruled out.

Still do not want to go into many conspiracy theories but it could well be a ISIS radicalized Muslim fanatics in Army trying to bulldoze him down for larger plan to control another mild to moderately radicalized prime real estate.

Yes.

  • Erdogan has been helping ISIS.
  • Erdogan's son, Bilal Erdogan has been buying ISIS oil and selling them to other countries. All the oil tanker-trucks that Russia destroyed were paid for by Bilal Erdogan.
  • Erdogan's daughter runs hospitals where injured ISIS are treated.

In a nutshell Turkey is yet another basket case of dysfunctional Muslim majority nation and will remain so for couple of decades to come.
