Brahmos is not being sold because the domestic orders still haven't been fulfilled. Even after that the Brahmos is expensive to many countries.

We must not sell critical weapon systems to either US allied states or China allied states. We don't know the future of Taiwan to take such a risk either. If they let China take over then our technology will fall into Chinese hands. This includes the Arjun tank and Brahmos, also the rest of our missile systems.

Countries like Malaysia and Indonesia may very well fall into our political and military bloc in the future. Selling them our current weapon systems like Brahmos will be safe. Once the Mk2 has matured enough the Brahmos Mk1 will be made available for export as long as both Russian and Indian demands are fulfilled first.

come on, India has technology and Taiwan has money (so it's affordable)

to sell Mk1 or Mk2 to Taiwan which is upfront against China Ind. has a better chance to test whether Brahmos really works. Meanwhile Indonesia and Malaysia are somehow regional rivals. Selling missles to them don't sound a good idea for India's interest. The tech. may still easily leak to China since China already has deals with them militarily.
