n a sharp reaction to the praise showered by industrialists on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, the Congress on Saturday sought to draw a parallel with the German corporate sector's fascination for Adolph Hitler in 1930s.

"The German corporate sector had a similar fascination with a gentleman who was at the helm of affairs there. The implications for the world at large were disastrous," said Union Minister and Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari.

I would be constrained to state that this is in poor taste.

Sadly, it indicates the total shivers the UPA is experiencing, not because of the weather in Delhi, but because Gujarat's double digit GDP when compared to UPA's dismal performance and knee jerk attempt of 'bold initiatives' to revive the failing economy.

What adds insult to injury for the Congress is attendance of foreign delegates in a favourable bent of mind, when the UPA is on bended knees are trying to woo FDI and failing!

But then, Manish Tiwari is famed for his foot and mouth disease.

In all countries when one part of the state progress everyone is happy but in UPA India you get silly comments from idiotic leaders.

This guy should do something instead on whining continually on NDTV

Sir you have hit the nail on the right head. It is a very pertinent point to note that when the Central Government is not in a position to attract Foreign Investment, these same investors are queuing up in Gujarat to invest. In the interest of the nation, the Central Government should learn from the state government and implement it.
