Comparison of New classes of destroyers in service with world navies.

In this thread the aim is to compare all the new classes of destroyers in service with World Navies. Please feel free to vent your ideas on the ships. Do include the specs and capabilities of the following ships

-Horizon class
-Sovremenny class
-Kolkata class
-Type 45
-Arleigh Burke class
-Type 052B
-Zumwalt class
-Delhi class

and any other destroyer which you feel should be discussed. Do state the specific roles of the ships. For eg, the Type 45 is an Air Defence Destroyer.
I hope this thread wil increase our understanding about the capabilities of each class of ships.

Alright I'll Start with the Type 45 Daring class of the Royal Navy.

This class of ships was designed to serve as air defence destroyers to escort the Queen Elizabeth class carriers. As far as their original role is concerned they are very capables ships. Primary AA weapon is the PAAMS with 48 cell SLYVER A50. It also has 2 Phalanx Ciws 2 miniguns 2 Oerlikon 30 mm KCB guns and a BAE 4.5 inch main gun.

The ship does not have any SSM missiles as such although it can be equipped with the Harpoon and if possible the Tomahawk. The Ship carries a single Merlin helicopter. The Merlin is the only way for the ship to engage submarines and surface ships.

Closing remarks:
The type 45 is one of the best anti-air vessels out there. It can track and attack more aerial targets than five Type 42 destroyers together. But since ths Ship has no inherent Anti ship or anti sub or land attack capability, it is useless against powerful surface forces and submarine threats.
