if am not wrong, sufism has its roots in turkey & iran (remember the dancing darveshis?)...the less-known non-islamic sufism predates (actually said 'dateless'; like Yog i guess, but essentially ancient mysticism) the former and has mentions of germination from ancient Syria, Egypt, etc. too.

Sufism was never Indian, Sufi accompanied the invading forces....all these Turks, Afghans etc were Sufi....stop peddling leftist BS!

Sufi adopted many Indian traditions and assimilated with local culture well. Our problem is not Indian Muslim but Muslim who think they are from Arabia/Turkey living in India.

Sufis are never allowed to go beyond Koranic rules. Allah is the only god, Mohammad is his last messenger and anyone who doesn't accept this is Kafir and to be destroyed. Sufis basically accept these conditions. They might practise things not done by other branches of Islamic ideologues, like maulavis, mullas etc but towards the kafirs their view is no different. Historically Sufis have been spies, soldiers, Jihadis, against non-Muslims. It's a bit like good cop-bad cop strategy. The Mullas, Jihadis play the bad cop, Sufis play the good cop, but their goal is the same.

No of Muslim males gathered in Kaliachak = 1.5 Lakh

Fringe group that is more than the total Muslim male population of the place. Its not the fringe Mr Goswami, its almost whole Muslim male population of Kaliachak + Outsiders. It is time intellectuals and seculars realized, there is no fringe/minority group there. Majority of Muslims have issues. Majority of them should learn how to behave with others.

PS: Good job Arnab for at least conducting a program on Malda and talking direct about 1.5 Lakh Muslims (and not about 1.5 Lakh people from particular community). Keep the momentum going.
