Its no news that Indian supply chains suck when it comes to fruits especially Apples. They don't want to organize themselves nor they are allowed to attract investment to get straight their facilities. Consumers will keep paying high price for Indian fruits.
India is World's 2nd largest producer of fruits. We waste 30% (i.e roughly 500 billion Rs) of our food production due to poor SCM. And still end consumers are made to bear high prices.
